Yeah a little bored this morning, reflecting back on 45 yrs of bowhunting. Who has taken game with Zwickey broadheads? When I started shooting recurves in 1989 I bought a dozen. I shot 9 deer over the first 3 years with the same broadhead and lost it on #9. I have shot some game with others but always come back to Zwickey. What about you guys/gals?

I have not been bowhunting near as long, but a few deer and a turkey with Zwickey Eskimo.

Yes but have used razorheads more. Very similar.

Been killing game with them since 1988,, prior to that I was using Razorheads from 1974 to 88'

I have taken over a hundred deer and black bear with Black Diamonds, since the mid 1960's. Most with selfbows and composite longbows. I still exclusively use them today. Also, have taken a few deer with Bear Razorheads. There are many excellent vintage and modern heads, it becomes a matter personal preference.

Lots of em 2&4 blade Eskimo no mercy and delta the results have all been the same. The only ones I haven't tried (yet) are the cliff..... But honestly I've seen no different in any 2 edge head other than the various hardness of the steel and how they sharpen and hold an edge

Yes and Magnus too

Oddly enough I haven't with the BD heads, I started bowhunting with 3 blade Hi-Precision on the suggestion of a friend. I switched to Bear Razorheads in 1967 in my third year of bowhunting. There are plenty of folks who used them, most of the guys hunting west of the Mississippi seemed to always be using Zwickey heads back in the day. I basically stayed with Bear since they were easy to bring to sharp and everyone was selling them at the time....and they did the job well too, of course.

Been using Eskimo 4 blades a long time. Giving 2 blade Delta a try this season.

From: Live2Hunt
Date: 21-Sep-22

Yes, Eskalites. Now using delta's and or no mercy single bevel. Have not ran a single bevel through one yet. Last years deer I used a bear RH with the same results, dead.

Zwickey has done it on over 100 animals since the mid 70’s for me.

From: Babysaph Professional Bowhunters Society - Associate Member
Date: 21-Sep-22

Yes. Killed a pile of animals with them. For me they do not leave as good of a blood trail as a snuffer. Having said that I am going to use a Simmons land shark this year lol

From: flyfish1
Date: 21-Sep-22

Used Eskimos for 25/30 years, taken many deer.If it’s sharp it will kill no matter what you use if you put it where it belongs.Using Ace standards now as I can get them razor sharp easier and they are a little wider cut.

From: tradslinger
Date: 21-Sep-22

Bear Razorheads and Zwickey for years, this year going to try Woodsman and Snuffers because I have them. In these rocks and we have the rocks, I have bent and curled several two blades but had taken them to the anvil with my various hammers and got them pretty darn straight and hunted with them more. Hard to do with anything else. The two blades have worked forever, the stone heads are two blade also. The only gripe that I ever had was the occasional lack of a blood trail but it was usually from a high hit and from the ground unless I hit the opposite shoulder/bone. If I didn't already have these three blades, I would be using my two blades.

A moose, several elk, a couple of black bear, more than a dozen turkeys, many, many deer and a substantial number of small game. Most with a 4-blade Zwickey Delta.

Yes 2 blade.work great.

From: Rick Barbee

My first ever bow kill was a doe with a Zwickey Black Diamond, and I had many there after with those broadheads on a lot of different animals.

Nothing wrong with them at all.

Early in my journey, jumped to Snuffer from removeable blade satellite heads. Have tried many different heads over the years, Zwicky among them. Just have to add weight to the lighter heads with my bows.

I’ve been using the Deltas for many years. Did use some Magnus I for a while but came back to Zwickeys. I do like the No Mercy head but I have a stock of both 2 and 4 blade Deltas. I still have a new package of the blue ones. I do like the wide 2 blade.

One year I killed 2 deer and a hog with the same wood arrow with a Delta head on it.

From: grouchy 62

Nothing is really better then Zwickeys unless you like splitting hairs. It boils down to price among best 2 blade broadheads. Keep them sharp!

From: Live2Hunt

Those delta's are a wide head, that is why I went to them.

Zwickeys are never a wrong answer. Good, sturdy, affordable and easy to sharpen. They were my choice before Magnus came around and my go-to when I run out of Magnus carbon steel heads.

Since 1979, both single blade Eskimos and Deltas. Bunch of game has hit the ground over the years using these great broadheads.

Between deer, caribou, moose, sheep, goats and bear I've lost track of how many animals I took with them. Never once had any problems with them other than missing and losing them. I have enough to last out my life.

Their ad doesn’t appear in print anymore. I wonder why? Cost? Or because they don’t need to advertise?

From: manybows

Just a guess probably about 15 to 20 deer with Zwicky two-blade Deltas, I liked the 1 5/16ths wide blade for a larger hole.

One deer and a squirrel. I’ve used a few different heads over the years but kind of settled on Grizzlies as my go to. Nothing wrong with Zwickeys though, they are fine heads and I always thought the price was right too.

Well for some reason I can't post pics anymore. I hit that 'choose file' and nothing...it doesn't go to my photo files. It doesn't even flash or say error...like I didn't even touch it.

I started out with the Delta. I've taken at least a couple dozen deer with it. Took about 8 or 9 deer with the same broadhead...buried in the spine of the last one and retired it. I posted pics of it here before.

There's gotta be a zillion kills with the good old zwickey across the world. Longtime favorite!

Shot this Muley in the early mid 1980's...just after first light from My treestand...opening morning...pretty much straight down from the stand as he came under it...the Zwickey Delta 4 blade entered just below/along his jawline...traveled length wise down thru his neck and exited out thru his brisket and stuck in the ground...he went about 25 yards...70lb Bear T/D using 2216's and the Zwickey...4finger

Here’s a six point that was 6 yards broadside from me as I sat in some blown down oak trees on a stool .I used a Zwickey Eskimo that went trough him hitting both lungs with a cedar 23/64 tapered last ten inches to 5/16 th I made myself. The arrow popped out other side as he bolted out and jumped a felled tree from years gone by,
