Ive got a take-down longbow made by RER, it has the extra laminates on the tips so I assume it's fast-flight string compatible. I've tried to search for this topic here but that's mind-numbing. Any help would be appreciated.

By the way- I'm looking for a string replacement because my current string seems to constantly be stretching. Every 100 shots or so it stretches to the point the limbs want to flex backwards. I've been readjusting by twisting but afraid its time for a replacement. I've never experienced such stretch before but I've only owned a few trad bows.

Thanks

The RER longbow is FastFlite compatible. If your string is streching like as bad as you say you need to take it off and throw it away. It is going to come aprt on you. Contact Stilldub or Hoppybeer on EBay and get a fine quality D97 flemish string made. Both these gentlemen are excellent stringmakers. Just tell them the bow make, model, length, and draw weight and you will have a new string in a few days.

"If your string is streching like as bad as you say you need to take it off and throw it away.".....yep.

And for the record that's NOT stretching, even Dacron doesn't stretch that much, it's slipping in the splices. And a string made that poorly will have the same problem regardless of the material it is made from
