Should be able to heat them and pull them off.

I think you're right. I thought that was writing at first glance.

They make a mini hack saw. You could make a small cut parallel to the shaft. Then pry it open with a small thin regular New driver. Or maybe do the same thing with a dremel tool and cutting wheel.

If that don’t work try several cuts. Like 12 o’clock 3 o’clock 6 o’clock at 9 o’clock and peel it like a banana.

I'd go with Don's dremel banana theory. I've removed failed hydraulic fittings that way. Same idea, just a different scale

Heat them up and pull off. The knurl is not deep. Worst case, you might have to take one turn with a taper tool.

The crimp on these do not go thru to the dhaft. These are straight walled. No taper. Use a little heat .

If you need 3 to replace the ones you have I will send 3 of these to you. I think mine are 23/64th but I will check if you need them. And you can buff these up for a shine.
The bottom one in the above photo is a different style with no crimp look to it.

Screw a big point into them, and heat them by applying the heat to the point only.
They'll come off.

Cut flush and re taper. It will affect spine very little.
