I think they should make the cornhole tournament behind the back, too...just like Frank's show! Would add a new degree of difficulty and "separate the men from the boys" (Are we still allowed to say that in the 2000's? LOL!).

What’s corn hole?

Have fun Frank. Should be a good show.

Babysaph..cornhole is kind of like horseshoes...in the old days I think they called it the bean bag toss...try to toss a bag filled with corn kernels into a hole in a board 27' away. It's fun!

Oh. Yea bean bag. Got it.. we always called corn hole something else.

Look forward to meeting you and seeing your demonstrations. I'm only about 45 minutes North of the civic Center.

I’m an hour away. If we make it I’ll drop by and say hello.

Yeah we always called something else “cornhole” and it was around the back!

I was doing a show one time with a country music star. We had about 15,000 people in the audience. We were hanging out in the VIP area eating food and relaxing - visiting with folks and all at once he says, “We are down behind the bus playing Corn hole if you care to join us..”. I politely declined. I wasn’t sure what it was but I passed. Hahaha

Fun times.

We did five radio interviews in Birmingham - talking archery and the snow. Fred Bear was the best marketer of archery ever. Between him and Stacy Groscup I had great mentors.

Was scheduled to do TV this morning but my flight was canceled due to weather so won’t get in to Birmingham until late today. First show is Friday at 5pm.

See ya there

Frank,

It was nice meeting you and I really enjoyed the show. When we got home my daughter immediately went and got her bow and asked me to go outside and shoot with her. Me, her and my wife shoot together almost every day. Folks that aren’t archers don’t realize what a bonding opportunity they’re missing with their kids. All of my kids were started in archery from 3-4 years old. They all grew up hunting and shooting 3D.

Here is a pic of my oldest daughter at 10 years old with her first bow kill.

We are an archery family and we really enjoyed visiting with you and enjoyed your show. When we got home I was quick to instruct my daughter to NOT try any of your trick shots! :-)

Thank you for addressing the kids in the audience and trying to spark their interest in archery. Your son did a great job and he really inspired my daughter to keep on keeping on. Thank y’all for doing what you do.

Lonster and Buckshot:

So great to meet y’all and put a face with the screen name. Very cool photos Lonster- your daughter loves archery I could tell.

It was a rough weekend of shows for me. I had gotten Covid at the show FDP and I did in July. I had only been out of bed about 4 days before flying to Birmingham.

My Doctor cleared me but I was weak. Friday’s shows were so so. I could tell I wasn’t myself - missing some easy shots and balloons I never miss. The six arrow shot gave me fits all weekend. I couldn’t draw back as far as normal for this shot. But we never shot more than 2-3 times for the baby aspirin at any show. So there’s that.

Sunday was my best show of the weekend. Brought some youngsters onstage and they were the spotters. Hit the mustard seeds first shot. Two of the spotters didn’t see it. The thrower, one spotter and my son did. So I did it a second time. That time everyone but one spotter saw the hit. So I did it a third time. He still didn’t see it. So I moved him up behind the thrower. He saw it the fourth shot. So that was four hits in a row on the mustard seeds. That’s a first. So turns out that it was a great show.

I felt better today than I’ve felt in three weeks. It was so good seeing all y’all. Fun stuff.

Is that the same Turtle guy that was thrown off the "call of the wildman " show a while back for the mistreatment of animals

Frank that is a pretty fancy recurve you have.

From: AspirinBuster

Phil

I don’t know anything about him. I was doing shows and I guess he had a booth at the show too. I thought he was an interesting fellow for sure. Sorry that’s all inknow about the fella.

Bri

I’ve got some wooden bows too. Usually on stage I use the latest greatest Hoyt bows. And speaking of that should have two new ones any day.

Great to see all the youngsters shooting archery !
