Yes, I always hang them about one month before the opener so I'm not stinking up the countryside. I "nest" them in the mountain laurel, but there's always that one nosy, old doe. She'll be the first to go... even if I have to hang a second one to kill her out of while she's checking out the first one, wondering where I am!

I’ve been at it this week yes it’s hot but do a few a day switched a few around to new spots n changed all the straps (16 sets n climbing sticks add up to a lot of straps) also the nieghbor lady said I could hunt her 40 I didn’t even ask she offered ( a rarity now days) but any time she calls I jump to help her out ~ it will be fun to figure out a new woods like to get it done n rest for 5-6 weeks >>~~>

Not yet. Besides being too hot, I hunt all public land. I only use one hang-on, so I wait till a day or so before opening day.

I’m getting ready. I figure I’ll get several out in the next week or so and check my ladder stands.

I use a climber and don't put out my two trail cameras till Labor Day. Opening day is not

till October 1, and only if it is cool enough.

Here in Missouri, we cannot put stands out on public land until 1 September. Season starts 15 Sep.

This is usually the time I’m putting up or moving stands. Plenty of time for the deer to get used to them and the shooting lanes I cut.

I always hang mine about 30 seconds before i climb in it.

Been getting all of my stands out and put together. 6 moves in 12 years has everything out of wack. Need to get some new straps for my climbing sticks. Then I will put them up. Hope to be done by the end of August. Season opens the end of September.

I don't pre hang stands before season.I hunt public land not any private. Our state doesn't allow stands to be hung before the season on public land.

Got my ladders out on my land permanently...one for deer and one for bear. I mainly use a folding stool on public land for mobility and convenience, however I do have one lightweight hanger and a couple sticks in the truck just in case I find a hot spot that requires me to go aerial. I'm glad I'm not out hanging stands because it's been HOT and the deer flies have been horrible.
