This Septembers Elk rig, 30 yards, an inch left. I must have gotten cocky because My second and third shots were high and left. But rounds after that went well.

Rain delay, waiting to get out...

Watch out folks, Nemophilist broke out the pink arrows. The bell has begun to toll for some unfortunate PA ungulate.

Altitude Sickness-- Is that the Xyphose? Some hooks on that sucker!

That’s a rare large group for Nemo. Yes sir it’s a Xyphose static recurve not a super curve

22 yards, a touch left. POC with an Ace standard. Bivouac UJ and don’t forget the Riverwolf quiver…..

I think Nemophilist's pink arrows get disgusted at having to pierce foam. They greatly prefer to perforate heart/lung on the hoof.

I imagine the deer in PA upon spotting Nemo's vehicle are like the zebras in the Serengeti when the leopard saunters over to his ambush tree: the entire herd starts looking at each other wondering which of them is going to get it... :)

"LOL" Pink fletched aluminum arrows and my Frankenbow brought me luck last year with a nice ten point, so I figured I'd make up some pink fletched aluminum arrows for my 1971 Super Magnum. :)

Ungulate sphincters are tightening in PA at the mere sight of those pink fletches and hunting gear layout!

Kept up the unofficial '30 yard Saturday' with a battery of six; the first was the rightmost of the pair I dumped low. The upright arrow was a ball strike bounce out.

All six are 4x2x8-10mm high Blazer vanes.

55# Montana, 29" .400 carbon, 250 gr point, 600ish gr arrow weight, 21% FOC.

Quiver dump at 30 yards over and over till I got tired (or hungry) at the dangling foam ball, much addicting. Pic is the first group of many, arrows are cedar from Port Orford, bow is carbon from Scotland.

I ran out to shoot quickly and left my phone inside. First shot was 18 ish yards and I hit straight up the line 4” high from aim point. So my first pictured shot will be later.

It's getting closer to season so I've been practicing more sitting shots. Today I done 20 yards off my hunting seat. Fedora longbow 62" 76@28 and cedar shaft.

Good afternoon FS Shooters. I took my shot from 17ish yards. Shooting my 68" 44# straight longbow. Black and White Ebony veneers, over actionboo core. Riser is Black and White ebony. Center of I-beam is Wenge Black and White Ebony, Wenge. Arrows GT Trad Classics 1535s,600 with 171 up front. This is all I can do. My right string hand shoulder is starting to give out. It hurt pretty bad Friday when I got home from work. I don't know what's going on. I'm sure it's another rotator issue. About ready to give up all my bows. And just hunt with my (bad word crossbow). We'll see. Have a great night everybody. JF

25 yard ShortStick flamingo shot: first was front leg up, which I dumped low. Second shot was back leg up, nestled that one up to the tennis ball.
