My wife and I plan to attend the Compton shoot in Michigan for the first time.
Will any of you specifically recommend other attractions nearby that she might be more interested in as she's not big on our trad archery passion.
I know the big lake is close by. Any beaches we might visit there for instance? Etc, etc...
All ideas very welcomed.
Thanks and best regards, Skychief.

Several state park beaches just to the west on Lake Michigan . Area towns have breweries, wineries.

As others have said we have lots of wineries, a quick count comes up with around 15 within 15 miles of the sportsman club. Warren Dunes state park on Lake Michigan is also around 15 miles. This is a very nice park (with a campground) with big sand dunes and hiking trails. The town of St. Joseph is about 10 miles and has Silver Beach, one of the most popular beaches in our county. St Joe also has lots of nice shops and restaurants. Silver Beach Pizza is one of the most popular eatery’s because of their great pizza. If you’re into salmon fishing you can do that out of St Joe also.

Things to do have been covered pretty well. You will have a great time at the Rendezvous. Plenty of events also many things for the ladies as well. It is our favorite event of the year

Compton's will keep most everyone pretty busy. But plenty of things in the area to do have been mentioned above. Check out the State park daily pass costs before you drive over. Can't remember what they are as I get the yearly pass. Notre Dame may be just an hour or so away. That would be a GREAT visit.
