I would love to. But that means I'd have to drive on the Pennsy Pike...from the western side...in the WINTER!!! Not unlike trying to drive on a luge run surrounded by people driving like crackheads!

Yeah, I know, I'm OLD! ;-)

Nothing I need nor want so I doubt I go.

Todd, Are you going to shoot in the competition?

From: Nemophilist
Date: 15-Jan-22

Not this year. I've been to the Harrisburg show many times and it was always a good time.

From: Dan Jones
Date: 15-Jan-22

Woods Walker: That's a great description of driving on the Pa Turnpike these days! And watch out for receiving a photo fine because you were trapped among trucks going 80mph or 85mph in a "55mph" construction zone.

From: Silverback

I've been going for 25 years but not this year. I have a severe knee injury and would not be able to walk around a show that big.

Dan: Been there, done that!!!

Our daughter lives in Virginia, and when we go see her we take the 'Pike, and I ALWAYS time it so that we are on it (Ohio Line to Breezewood), it's FULL daylight, and preferably dry!

I grew up in New Jersey, and spend a good deal of time on I-80 in Pennsy, and while it can be a roller coaster, it not twists and turns like the Turnpike is. And for much of it on the 'Pike, it's not only like a large intestine, but there's NO SHOULDER!!

Been going every year since I was a kid. Dad use to take me out of school to go. I’ll go this year, but it takes less time every year to get through it. Just not interested in a lot of it anymore. Also hoping to make the Lancaster Flyfishing Show this year. Never been to that.

Nope, too far, too crowded, too boring.

I loved it, won't be going, moved to Louisiana. The 3D Range is truly something special and yes, it is crowded, it is impressive to see.

Good hoof from TX, so no.

From: 1829

I'll save the money I'd spend on the show, gas, maybe parking, some food and the mandatory stop at the Carlisle Hoss's on the way home FOR...

...the Baltimore shoot, Memorial Day Weekend Greencastle shoot and the STAR & ETAR shoots in the Summer!

Already booked my Wyoming antelope hunt and I book my Montana antelope hunt at the show. I live about 30 miles away. I have all vaccinations but I will be double masked anyway....Be safe.....Des

The Covid Carnival? Nope.

The so called Archery Hall became a joke two decades ago. One to two hour wait traffic jam and people jam to get in. Hundreds of vendors blowing all manner of game calls as loud as they can. It's maddening!

Luge run is a great description of the PA Turnpike. I have at least one near death experience every time I get on it. White knuckle driving for sure.

From: Woods Walker

The first time I was on the PA Pike and encountered the beginning of the spaghetti bowl turns near the Pittsburgh area, I felt the inertia of the curve push my body to one side. My first thought was that I was speeding, but then I looked at the speedometer and saw that I was actually a little UNDER the posted limit! I have never encountered that before on an Interstate highway. Crazy.....

And TWO HANDED white knuckle driving!

What the 3-D set up looks like

From: Dale in Pa.
Date: 16-Jan-22

I shot that 3D competition once 10 or more yrs. ago. Back then they had closer targets on the floor and the further targets were up in the bleachers.

Im going..! Calling it "Pennsy" gave up some New Jersey roots for WoodsWalker. Its an hour for me...mucho cool stuff. Been going for 45 years.
