It was a bust this season...sort of. Never considered a bowhunting season to be a good season only if I made a kill. Just being in the boonies and experiencing the anticipation of a possible kill is, for me, a major part of why I bow hunt. A kill is a plus.

This season there were many days of heavy rains and very high winds, and then came the freeze.

However, I did invite my nephew to hunt my area and gave him my hot stand. 2nd day out he killed a 166# 8 point buck. That was as pleasing to me as if I had made the kill.

November 20th. 10 point. He was chasing some does and made the mistake of stopping at 30 yards from my treestand. Broadside shot. Waited a half hour and found him approx 100 yards away. Shot with my Frankenbow. Bear Black Bear compound riser with Samick Sage recurve limbs, 62#@28", 2018 Aluminum Arrow with a Magnus Classic broadhead.

I was watching a trail that was going to a bedding area in some planted pines and the best cover was about 25 yds. away. She came along the trail around 9:00. Shot her with my Wes Wallace Mentor 61@28 with 160 grain Ace Standard. The picture is just as I found her. The rut is about to start here so hopefully I’ll have a buck to add!

Darren, nice deer. Same for Frank. The Pennsylvania deer aren't taking a back seat to a lot of other higher profile states.

I've had a blessed season. I took the buck within walking distance of our house. Toelke Pika 44#@27" (heaviest bow I've hunted with in 10 years), mfx 600 and 200gr 3 blade VPA @480grs---2 holes. I shot the doe on our farm a month later--- same bow, mfx 600 tuned w 125 stinger for 426 grs-- pass through. Bother deer fell within 80 yards. This is the first doe I've taken within 15 miles of our place in a few years as the numbers seemed to be down here (I'm blessed to have another great farm to hunt 15 miles from here). The coyote is 1 of 5 we've taken off our place this year, so I figure with the fawns we may have saved I earned the doe

I never took a deer this season but I got video of this white six point buck from my stand. A week later I had a smaller six pointer walk right under my stand. Neighbors say there are about four or five white deer running around the area.

Does anyone have any idea how the picture with the bow and turkey target got on my post? Beautiful bow and good shots, though! The white deer really sticks out!

Why is rotated I have no clue. It was kind of too fast , as it was taken on the second day of the season. I was there waiting for just over one hour on my first day out for turkeys when this one gave me a good opportunity for a shot. That is my small game bow , a KBX 55# @ 31"

Poor guy jumped off a overpass about 30 ft tall, found him during peak rut, he was still alive when I got to him, untelling how long he had been there. I was at work and didn’t have any thing to finish him off. Called sheriff and they came and shot him twice, they left and the dude was still alive. I had eenough and just finished him off with a sledge hammer. Felt like crap, don’t like Anthiny suffering. So sad…. But will make some nice rattling antlers coming November

Got my buck mount back from the buck I got last year. I got it back March 14th. I was surprised the taxidermist got it done so soon.
