Bear's 59er has/had it.. .Beautiful glass. To me in the right shade it looks very natural like bamboo . Wish it was utilized more.....I'm sure many have some good pictures and will share......Best with your quest Todd ;)

...one of my all time favorite Recurves . My 59 Grizzly .
Love every aspect of this bow design and wood/glass combinations used! She has a beautiful olive green glass back and dark caramel belly. The mix of light/dark in this beautiful Riser is stunning to my eyes. I could see a Montana with these things incorporated ;^)

Looking forward to seeing more Bows with Caramel glass incorporated into the design/build. Beautiful glass....

Back in the 60's, all manufactured bows had glossy finishes. If you wanted matte/semi gloss, you took steel wool to them. Mostly it didn't bother us, we just put limb covers on them for hunting and still killed deer. The choices we have today are not what we had back then.

Thanks Ralph! And thank you guys for posting!!!!! Wow, what a turnout!!! So, what is your guys opinion on caramel glass with a black Micarta riser? I love the weight of Micarta but unsure of the look of the combo.

..Todd, until someone has some pics of Black micarta & caramel glass ;)
The micarta kinda (from a distance;) looks in shade a lot like dymondwood and other woods in shade=blackish/charcoal/wenge . I think that woods like Bear's maple core really makes that dark riser pop. Just me ...I really lke it ! So one would think that a blend with a Dark riser and caramel glass would do the same. Jays kodiak pretty much shows that....

The lighting and angle play games with a phone picture. The tint can look much different on a digital picture. It’s hard to show the exact tone

Back glass on a bow I call " Mystery" because I don't know who made it. This is woven glass but bet it was made by Gordon.
