Does anyone have any pics they can share of bows with Caramel Gordon glass? Also, any riser wood recommendations for caramel glass?

Jay that is a gorgeous bow!! I had a 59 kodiak once and loved the caramel glass color also!!! I’d like a ASL longbow in it someday.

Ralph, Sorry flipping the picture won’t make it Right Hand

Back in the 60's, all manufactured bows had glossy finishes. If you wanted matte/semi gloss, you took steel wool to them. Mostly it didn't bother us, we just put limb covers on them for hunting and still killed deer. The choices we have today are not what we had back then.

The 59 and 60 Shakespeare bows had gorgeous caramel colored glass.

Anybody order a ASL with Carmel glass recently. I have been kicking around that color for awhile now.

Here are a couple of pictures of my Northern Mist American. It's also a takedown. It has the caramel glass on the belly with walnut Dymonwood handle.

Thanks Ralph! And thank you guys for posting!!!!! Wow, what a turnout!!! So, what is your guys opinion on caramel glass with a black Micarta riser? I love the weight of Micarta but unsure of the look of the combo.

Ralph, it’s nice to see the photo galley pics of your Grizzly. But the one in its natural habitat is a better picture.

The lighting and angle play games with a phone picture. The tint can look much different on a digital picture. It’s hard to show the exact tone

Back glass on a bow I call " Mystery" because I don't know who made it. This is woven glass but bet it was made by Gordon.
