Alright gentleman . Apparently I've been good enough that the wife is letting me get a bow built. Not just any bow but a bow built for me . I talked with two wonderful gentlemen on this matter. One being Craig(monkeyball) who took the time to answer some questions and gave his opinion which I find highly respectable , the other being Jim Martin of Mahantango bows. I got a hold of Jim in his shop on my first try of calling him. As many have mentioned he was a joy to speak with and is waiting on me to pick what woods and glass combos I'd like in my new Red Tail. This is where I could use some help. I could use some pictures of you guys asl' s or better yet Jim's bows so I can decide on something. I like the idea of the woods to have been able to have been sourced around the PA area but would like some type of figured wood in the handle. This would be a great help. Thanks guys in advance and looking forward to seeing some options.

You’re going to like your red tail. There can be a lot of figuring in the right piece of walnut. I have a red tail with an osage riser. It’s a looker for sure.
