Today I received the arrows that Stringmaker so generously offered in his giveaway. Wife called and said an “arrow box” was waiting for me, so when I got home I was obviously excited, which quickly turned to a touch nervous when I saw that the box was a bit beat up from transit. Not gonna lie, I didn’t know what to expect but what I saw upon opening far exceeded the best expectations. One dozen “high grade” woodies. Doug fir, 50-55 spine with exquisite cap and cresting. The pic doesn’t do them justice. Fair market would easily be 100+ dollars. Sincere gratitude and thanks to Michael for offering these up. There are times here where threads get sidetracked with egos and heated debates but when all’s said and done there’s a lot of good stuff being done. Thank you Michael.

Thanks guy's. Hope y'all enjoy them . . .

In all the arrows I have made over the years, it's the first ones I ever cut the incorrect length and to really mess up, it was a two dozen set . . .

I was in discussions with Keith and found out he could shoot them, so a dozen went to him. Was going to sell the other set, but messed around until Christmas got here and decided to make them a present!

Our Lord can always bring good from mistakes . . .

Everyone have a Blessed day! Michael

Couldn't help myself and shot one in my basement target that I use for winter blind bailing and at six paces they hit the vertical line for windage consistently. Bow they'll work best with is my Bivouac American ASL: 43@28". I'm drawing right to 27 3/4". Figure once it's not sub-zero here and I can stretch it out a bit I'll play with point weight to dial them in. Been working on a dozen wood arrows with my son (age 11) and when I showed them to him he responded, "Dad, my arrows don't look like that!" "Yeah, Jack, we're not that good yet!"

Yes Michael was so kind to send me a dozen back around Early October and I put Some Ace broadheads on a few of them to hunt with this past year. Just haven’t had the chance to draw on a deer yet . When I saw the first ones posted I just had to mess with him to see if he thought it was deja vu lol. Thanks Michael once again for your kindness. Keefers

Yup, sweet as can be. Those crests are superb design. A sit down dinner with wine for two plus tip is over $100 now. Those arrows are worth way the hell more than that.
