I found this to be quite interesting. Leaf spring knife blades, sure....but a responsive bow reminiscent of an Asian horsebow birthed in an ArtDeco workshop? By a skilled guy with almost primitive methodology? Wow. Hope you find it interesting, I know I will be at least be making arrows, broadheads, simple stuff.

I just gotta say, being of German and Norwegian ancestry, I wish I had seen this some months ago and had a flaming arrow to bring in the New Year. With all the Gunfire last night at Midnight, certainly a few flaming arrows into the dark night would only seem fair!

Scott, I don't know what to say about that video except that dude has a lot of time on his hands and he did a great job building and I love his bow string, I had to laugh after reading about building bow strings how this fella made one using a drill great job.

Not for me, but thanks for posting, it made my day. We used to make knives from leaf springs but that is the first bow I ever saw.

Kind of cool looking, but I bet the hand-shock is obscene!

And I have to admit, I’m kind of curious as to how the three bottles of water were able to stop the arrow without being tipped over?

You can see from the shot with the torch that there is a tremendous amount of arch in the trajectory, so I’m sure it’s a very low poundage set up, but still…. Maybe he didn’t show the step in which he glued those bottles down on the board so that they wouldn’t move?

Sheesh. If he actually knew how to make a bow he could do a great job! He faked it pretty well though.
