Thumbing through my old Traditional Bowhunter magazines and I always like to check out the old ads. Some are still in business, but most are gone. Thought this one for John Schulz was great. His son’s shooting glove ad is on the following page. This is from the Spring 1992 copy.

I flip them in my saved pictures. I think you have to flip 'em before you save 'em

I still remember complaining about the price of Johns video. $50 was a lot of money for me when I was in my early 20’s. Now I can’t even remember when I owned my last VCR. It was money well spent that’s for sure.

I still have my Shultz video and 2 working VCR’s. Only issue is these modern TV’s make the picture to dark. It’s hard for me to realize a lot of those bowyers and vendors are retired or passed away. Just yesterday that magazine came out, didn’t it? I had every issue but passed them along a few years ago. Felt it was time for a newer archer to enjoy reading them.

I found this interesting…
In this issue (spring 1992) there were 67 ads for custom bowyers! Compare that to the 8/17 issue with just 27.

Good to see those old ads. About 4-5 years ago I quit collecting Traditional Bowhunter Magazine. Up until then I had every issue except the 1st one. I've traded off a few to guys for they're collections. The rest are packed away in a closet.

Looks like most of the bows in the ads are out of business.
