Seems like I’m always coming up short for field points…
What I’m looking for is (ideally!) 21/64” diameter in 175 and 200 grains, preferably in a bag or box of 50.
I foot all of my carbons with a couple inches of 2117 and a standard Aluminum insert, and I’m down to just 4 arrows in my quiver because I don’t have enough points lying around!
I guess shooting 5/16” points wouldn’t be disastrous… Not too worried about lack of penetration on foam, but somehow it just seems like I ought to be able to get the right size…

I don't think anyone even makes 21\64 points of any kind any more.

Well, THAT would kinda suck, wouldn’t it?
So do you favor 20s or 22s?
I guess 5/16” matches the diameter of most carbons, but…
I guess it’s not as if I’ll wear out the targets any faster….

I found 21/64 field points on eBay but unfortunately nothing heavier than 145 grains with most at 100 or 125 grains.
I’d go with the 5/16” size.

Depends on the diameter of the shaft I keep 9/32 through 23/64 and just pick the one I like the match of best.
Personally in foam targets I prefer the point to be slightly larger than the shaft if they aren't an exact match.

Get yourself aluminum screw in adapters and combine inserts and matching 23/64 glue on field points. All readily available...

When points are bigger diameter than the shaft it’s harder to pull them from the target. I’d rather have 1/64 smaller than larger.

Won't 11/32 work? 5/16 & 11/32 is what I have the most of. 11/32 in the heavier points. >>>----> Ken

Looks like the heaviest that PDP shows on their site in 21/64 is the 175.

11/32 is 1/64 bigger only .007 to the side (about the thickness of 2 sheets of paper). A small bevel can easily be sanded on the back corner. In fact many of them come that way to 300 grains. >>>----> Ken

All the 200+ I have ever used were larger diameter with a tapered back end. in pic 175, 200, 225, 250, 300. I have larger dia 175, can't find one now. The 225 are homemade 250 turned to 5/16
