After the event having to be cancelled last year, we are all very excited to be at the expo again this January. Bob has a great line up of speakers. The vendor list will be out shortly.

From: MStyles
Date: 08-Dec-21

Lonnie Collins (aka Recycled Recurves) hasn’t posted here since March 1 of 2020, according to the post archive.

From: SJR Bows Professional Bowhunters Society - Qualified Member Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 09-Dec-21

Lonnie is no longer attending if 2021 had happened he was not going to be there as well. I am sure Bob is planning something for people to sell used bows

Already have the room booked for 2 nights and looking forward to the midwinter diversion. Perfect time for a show here in the cold country. Kazoo is the springboard that launches the Michigan Traditional Archer into the activities of the year. The local shoots start up again, then Kazoo, then the trad banquets, then the MLA Wilderness shoot at Tomahawk, then the outreach programs start, then the MLA Spring Shoot Camping w/e, then ................ well you get the picture. Fact is, Toby says there may be a new Widow at the Kazoo show w/ my name on it. Just another reason to look forward to a great event.

Can anyone give me the name of a Motel in the area that's fair ?

From: Knifeman
Date: 05-Jan-22

I waited till last week to book for fear of the event being cancelled. The area is pretty booked up for 2 queen bed rooms. We ended up at the Clarion. I think it was the last of such rooms there.

Heading up to K-zoo Friday morning, breakfast stop in Auburn IN at Cracker Barrel, then maybe a quick stop at 3-Rivers, and should be arriving around noon. Hoping for a great weekend getta-way. I'll also be spending time with my Marine Corps, and Vietnam buddy. We've been brothers since we met in Aviation Schools in 1967. Also be sure to check out Rob Gabbard's knivies at the Expo !!

If you look at that forecast, remember this is Michigan. Even though it says it will be cold if the sun is shinning then it is going to be a GREAT day. All 3 days the sun is scheduled to shine. For Michigan in the winter it won't get much better. Gonna be a awesome w/e!!!

If you want some of the best donuts ever. Right near the expo is Sweetwaters Donut Mill - 2138 S Sprinkle Rd Kalamazoo, MI. I recommend their Dutch Crumb.

Looking forward to this great event. Folks this is worth it just for seeing all the trad stuff and meeting some of the bowyers, artists, vendors and maybe a fellow waller. Safe travels to all.

To the ZOO!

From: tkyelp Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

We'll see everyone there in a little bit. The Michigan Longbow Association will be running the kid's shooting area as usual but we want to extend an invitation to anyone who is new to the sport of traditional archery who might want to stop in for a basic lesson in instinctive shooting. No size or age restriction! lol. Come on out and lets enjoy our favorite sport!!

The forecast looks great. We will see you all soon
