I know this topic comes up from time to time but which bows would you get back if you could? Mine is a funky Bear takedown with a retro factory camo can't remember the poundage around 40-45 pounds and a LEFTY sold it on here at a weak moment LOL Any body out there have her and she's still mint hit me up. Also had a Shrew Chameleon in lefty took a bunch of deer with that one sure miss her.

First year Martin Savannah rh 50lb. Sold it needing the money at the time. I would love to find it’s twin or 45lbs. I certainly don’t need another bow.

I don't dwell on that stuff but there are always ones you think about like that. I probably have a dozen....or more. :) One I do know was a Sanders recurve that shot so well I should have been slapped for selling it. Oh well. ))))))))

Had an old Ben Pearson "Signal Star" (factory second) bow -- 52" at 45#. Got my first rabbit with it and named the bow "thumper" due to the sound it made. :)

Sold it to gather more money for a diff bow. I know she's still out there rabbit hunting, but wish I never got rid of it.

Bob Morrison Cheyenne Takedown. 60#@28", 60"amo.

It killed a few bucks for me. It was a sweet bow to shoot. But I sold it when I went Bear Archery only.

You've all heard mine before, but in case....my pop's Gordon Jester 40 lb, RH, and a Blackhawk Yellowjacket, same specs.

In no particular order:

Dale Stahl t/d recurve Blacktail t/d recurve Sweptwing t/d recurve RER LXR t/d recurve and longbow A&H t/d longbow

geesh, what is wrong with me LOL

Not one I ever had, just wish i would have bought it. My first recurve about 8-10 years ago I guy was selling on craigslist a KHunter and a Kmag that were both owned by his dad. I bought the 70-71 KHunter but I wish I bought the 73-76 Kmag just to keep the set together. Plus it was cheep compaired to how bows are selling now and I’ve never owned, let alone shot a bow under 60”. I live in a pretty dry area for traditional archery. Everyone who hunted in those days were mostly shotgun hunters and got into compound because it was easy enough for them.

Lets see. all of my Cascade bows by Fred, all my Asbell Bighorns including some longbow prototypes, my Elburg bows, one of the first Ekin Juniper bows and his string follow bamboo bow, all my Kramer bows, all my Schultz bows, Timberlines, Howard Jet bows, Doug Duncan Safari, my MA, Kodiak with Schafer camo limbs, Silver Ghost by the same and Howatt, original Diablo, and the list goes on. Oh yea my Strunk Buffalo Hunter I think it was called. My Paxton longbow too. Gus Dellagelffa longbows, oh yea my yew from the fella down state of me whose name I currently can't remember cause I am old. The first Howatt Hunter that my brother broke while stringing it. My Hamilton Scorpions, etc. Probably some I've forgot. stay safe

I don’t have too many regrets but years back I had a couple silvertips made by Paul. I had ordered another so sold the old ones as I was getting exactly what I wanted. Before I got the bow he had his accident. Wish I still had at least one.

Survival bow I made with some dead branches when I was 17 , and river cane arrows I made for that bow with forge flatten thick nails broadheads. In a true(ish) survival situation , as I run out of 16 gauge shells and money to buy more. Was at that ranch for 4 days and made my first bow kill with that bow and arrows

I never sell any of my stuff, including bows. If I don't give it away, I use it until I wear it out. For example, look at my telescope. I got home from hunting, tonight, and took out the scope. It was night out #609 since I bought it!

Some of the Lefties I sold back in my hay day of trying bows. Probably 10 of the 150 or so I had over the years. They under someone's bed or hanging on the wall. :))

I am on my 4th or 5th CD Archery WF-19. I have sold them when I got something different only to find they did not shoot as well for me as the WF-19. I swore I would not sell the current one, but now I think I want to try a WF-21.

Big Jim Buffalo, takedown, beautiful longbow that shot really well!

From: Fatboy

An original Blacktail Columbian longbow made by Norm Johnson. I ordered two. One for me and one for my dad. His to his specs and mine to my specs. Same wood combo for the two of them. Due to circumstances beyond my control I had to sell it. Sold it to Big Jim at a state shoot. I killed a few deer with it and won the longbow class at the Southeastern trad championship that used to be held in Elberton Ga. My dad has since passed away so I have his bow but not mine. Would really love to have it back. 66" 63@31" red elm and bacote left hand

My first longbow was a Garrison's Halfbreed, by Ed Garrison in Illinois. I took my first stick bow deer with it. I shot an arrow with a bad nock and broke it's back. Haven't seen one since.

From: eddie c

A whole bunch of them. When I started shooting a stick bow, I was working part time setting up compounds and didn't realize picking the right arrow for a traditional style bow was different. I don't know how many I traded or sold thinking the bow wasn't good when it was me not knowing how to properly select the correct arrow.

I sold off the first rifle I ever bought.

Haven’t let go of anything since, except for the compound that I traded off for a longbow that I had no real use for…. And which is my Go-To, everyday shooter.

So far, so happy!

No real regrets. That first rile was a thing of beauty, but a 7 Mag is just pointless. Inside of 300 yards, it really won’t do anything that an ‘06 case round won’t do, and I’m pretty happy with my 7-08 as a replacement. If I have to get smacked at belted-round levels, I’m gonna throw a ROCK, not a pebble….

From: Arrowflinger
Date: 24-Oct-21

I had a Black Widow PSA V. The Ironwood model. 58 inch length and 46@27. I sold it about 3/4 years ago on the classifieds. Don't remember who I sold it to. But if he would sale it back to me I would buy it. It didn't have any name on it.

From: Tajue17

one of my first custom bows I had made a st Charles laminated yew takedown with the name "Ginger" I think it was 60# and 66"

a Ric Anderson Chinook Longbow I think 64" and maybe 60#-64# and 64" long, I think it was named "the springer"

but I'm Ted Lesiak if you see my name on a bow I've had over 60 bows since I started Trad in the 80's if anyone has anything with my name LMK... I may have the correct amount or the right trade if I wanted it back

I’ve gotten rid of some really neat bows but my collection has always revolved around 2 I won’t get rid of. There were some I really liked but there were reasons they went away. I hope the current owners enjoy them as much as I did.

I've sold quite a few bows over 52 years but I have no regrets when it comes to Bear bows. I still have every Bear bow I ever owned from my first bow a 1969 Bear Green Fox that my Dad bought me that year to my 2016 Bear Kodiak Takedown. I never could bring myself to sell any of my Bear bows.

There was a time I regretted selling a couple of bows but they were heavier draw weights than I could comfortably shoot now so I don’t feel bad about letting them go.

From: Shootalot

I had one of the first 21st Century bows. It was a Nova and was off their first form that didn't have too much r/d. I could shoot it better than any bow I have had. It started out at 64# but it would loose about a pound every time it was refinished. I took a lot of game with that bow but it finally broke. I have had several more 21st Century bows but they just don't seem the same as that one. I would love to have that first one back.

Would love to have my all Osage Big Horn with black micarta tips
