I was out midday, from 11 to 2:30. Too hot for comfort so I hunted in my tee shirt. Saw two does out of range, and saw a few squirrels. Supposed to cool down next week so I'm looking forward to that.

That’s a relief. When I saw the title, I thought there was a new season on us. I’m pretty sure I can’t jump string. :-)

Good Luck Gerald,, been recovering from hand surgery so my only hunting so far has been going along with St. Charles in the Little Delta again. Gonna start shooting next week. Hope a Razorhead finds it's mark for ya.

Looks like a Bear bow hanging there Gary. You giving the Widow a rest? Good luck this season. Glad to see you out hunting. I've only been out once. Hoping to remedy that real soon.

I bow hunted small game on the family farm in 1969 and 1970. 1971 turned 12 years old and got my first archery license so Dad let me go deer hunting. 1971 killed my first deer (a doe) with a 45# Bear Green Fox. 1973 killed my first buck with a 45# Black Hawk Warrior recurve. I'm now 63 years old and still bowhunting hard. The only archery seasons I ever missed was when I was in the military and couldn't get home. I guess I qualify as an old man now that I'm a senior citizen and all gray. "LOL"

I'll be 50 this year and you guys are inspirational!

I work hard to stay in great physical shape and I certainly have the drive to hunt hard. Time to hunt is sometimes at a premium with work and family committments.

I always tell my wife that when I retire I'm following the Frank (Nemophilist) plan. Get all my chores done before the season starts, hunt every single day except Saturday and then even Saturdays during the rut.

I know Frank's plan works for him because he doesn't lack pics or mounts of dandy bucks like the one he killed this past season.
