Been practicing and debating set ups

My fav bow, 48# longbow has some more issues with carbon back lifting. So cut off 2” of a light weight bow same design making it now 62”and it is shooting 37#. With beman 600 and 299 grains it’s shooting nice snd get good penetration and pretty flat flight out past 20. My point on is around 35 yards

Also dyed some wild Turkey feathers and put them on some sure wood f Douglas fir arrows. With 190 grain glue one they are 745 grains. Just shot out of 57# longbow same design and live the thump it does on my target

Decisions decisions

Also playing around with a new platform for my tree saddle. Been using one for 13 years but used steps on a strap before. Like how solid this is

My light 37#. Interesting that both set ups are close to 13 grains per lb

Option 3. Making my fav into a take down. Going to use smith on snd trap that carbon backing in the sleeve

Gaur. I just started using a saddle this year and getting use to it. What do you carry your sticks and platform into woods with? Thinking backpack frame maybe but not sure.

Fling Em. Before I was using strap on steps so I was using a small backpack. I may try the one stick method to lighten it up or use a few strap an steps snd the one stick at top Good luck

True. The step aiders help out alot too. I use two sticks each with a two step aider on them and can get up good ways. Around 13 to 15ft I'd say.

Buckeye. I think it might have been too thin of glue line first time around. Hoping new smooth on and the take down sleeve solves it. Figured worth a try anyway
