Whats your opinion? Carbon or Glass Limbs better?

Quantify "better" first off.

What do YOU consider "better".

Better than what? Glass has a history of working well when glued over wood since the end of World War II. Don't know how much better you can do than that. Carbon, relatively speaking in the context of bow manufacture, is a newcomer. Years down the road maybe one can speak to how well it has worked, but not yet. And what benefit does it offer as it relates to what glass already does? Lighter? More speed? More lateral stability? Probably all those, but how much of that is realized in real life and function?

I have no clue, as you can readily tell. :)

Geeze, just answer the question.

I know this wasn't part of your question, but too bad :^) In my opinion, for many reasons Selfbows are best. Then wooden bows backed with bamboo, wood, sinew, rawhide, etc.

I make them on occasion but I have little use for glass in a bow, and I have NO use for carbon in a bow. If I absolutely had to choose between glass and carbon, I'd choose glass every time.

Jeff...you didn't answer the question. :)

But!! I like them all. All wood bows , Glass and CF

I have a Bushmen Xyphose CF hyper static limb in the mail right now. And am hunting now with a osage bow I made last winter

I'm with Frank. What do you mean by "better"? And what are you willing to pay for "better"?

I like glass better.Im an amateur but carbon limbed bows I've made feel shockier to my old elbows.Talking about feel not performance.

Their still making glass limbs with rock maple cores every day. They make carbon limbs with different cores every day also. It is just another choice. To me one is about as good as the other for practical purposes.
