Let’s see your hunting pictures. Not kill pics, but stand or location pictures. This is from a public land hunt yesterday. It’s a small swamp, slough, drainage surrounded by thick ass cover. I’ve seen lots of deer (by lots, I mean I’ve seen a back leg, an ear twitch or two, a deer shape in the shadows for 2 secs, and a couple of does with fawns) in here, but haven’t connected yet. One day I’m going to catch a nice buck cruising through this drainage.

Ive used a climber in here before, but I think tucked away in the edge brush wearing a ghilli/leafy suit is just as good.

Well that didn’t turn out very good. The deer get really confused when you are upside down!

This is today’s hunt. Private land, sitting on the ground against a tree, in a leafy suit, with a brush blind in front of me. I’m watching a loaded Persimmon tree. Had a fawn at 8 yards, and kind of got busted by a doe at 20. I saw her coming in front of me and when she went behind some shrubs, I shifted and moved my bow 6 inches, and she slammed in the brakes, turned 180 degrees, and looped downwind until she scented me and that was the end of that.

Funny how I could have probably killed the fawn with a stick, and I barely moved and got busted by the old, doe!

Probably can’t see it, but the fawn is directly above the third stick - left to right

I always enjoy looking at pics from where others hunt.

Makes me appreciate the diversity. From the swamps, of the south...the great fields of the midwest, the U.P and northern minnisota...the Rockies..the white birch and spruce of the North east..the arid southwest...and of course...the twisted rugged mts of the appalachians.

They are all nice!

The upside down ghillie set up gives you a real advantage!!!!! They aren't used to humans hunting upside down like that! LOL

The trad elites would call that cheating. :)

Little harder to shoot hanging upside down, more of a challenge

All I saw was another hunter. Just off the right fork of the tree. He came in at last light and I lip squeaked and he came closer. The tree is four steps from me. Always something neat in the woods

The woods are just magical. What a nice place to be! Course theres the places something might be stalking you, looking for food too. But hey, its just all part of it.
