Anyone have experience with AF archery? I just offered the American longbow off almost for $130…if it’s half as good as my black hunter I’ll be happy…please don’t turn this into a China bow debate. I have had my rack covered in customs and name brands as well as these cheap bows

Wow auto correct hacked that up…ordered the AF American longbow off Amazon for $130…sheesh…62in 40@28

Advertised as bamboo limb cores…I’m excited to try it…for the cost it’s hard not to try it

Nice looking bow.

I haven't shot one, but I handled one today as a matter of fact that belonged to someone else.

Pretty good looking bow and nice grip.

I bought a bow from AF archery, and it blew up 5 months later. I contacted them and they replaced it FREE. (I had to pay shipping, but I didn't mind as bow was bit on the expensive side).

they redesigned the bow to 'fix' the problem area too. and bow with same exact spec as old one took just 2 weeks to arrive, and so far, it has been over 6 months and is holding up well.

so I would not hesitate to buy from AF Archery.

Dao I guess that good news! I don’t even know who id contact if I get issues with this bow…Amazon I guess but I have no idea where it really originated from like most Chinese bows

Wonder what the difference is in that bow and custom bows? I’ve always wondered what the difference is.

Looking forward to your review.

I bought that exact longbow and it blew a limb the first time I shot it. Good news is I sent pictures to the seller and they sent me a new one free. I shot a few hundred arrows out of it and it shot fine then I sold it and as far as I know it's still going strong.

Glad it kinda stayed together. I’ve had two blow up on me one of which was a new name brand beloved here…it can happen to any of them

I have a short AF horse bow shoots very well the finish is perfect, it's as good as some of my best bows.

It has arrived! Packaged well no damage only surprise is it has a black walnut riser not the lighter color pictured. Her are some pics of it strung with a random string I had

The riser and grip are about flawless

The grip is exceptionally comfortable! The bow is extremely light almost too light. I compare it to a slick stick. The black hunter is noticeably probably double the mass weight

Initial shooting if the bow was not pleasant…I threw on a b55 string and the bow bare had noticeable hand shock like ive never felt before. I adjusted the brace some and it helped. Ended up having a TTT fast flight string that fit and put it on and the bow shot significantly better almost immediately. I always shoot with a quiver on and soon as I did that and began to tune the hand shock died down quite a bit. Still there though

Rain began to pour but I had it shooting pretty good before I called it quits. It draws very smooth to my 29ish draw with no noticeable stack

Initial thoughts are the bow is actually a lot nicer than I expected for the $139 I paid for it. I am disappointed about the hand shock but I may be able to tame it. We shall see

I like the color of yours. Your pictures look much better than the ones I’ve seen on Amazon. Hope you work out the hand shock and get it tuned.

I don’t have a scale but it feels very comparable to my other #40 bows. Performance appears to be pretty good too. Definitely impressed with the fit and finish. I can’t find anything that I’d consider a blemish

My AF poundage is exactly as marked on the bow.

Didn’t get to shoot at all today has to work both jobs. Will definitely try and get some more shooting with it in this weekend and report back

From: sheepdogreno

Shot probably a 100 arrows through it today and with proper tuning the hand shock has disappeared. I believe I had the brace way to high. This is a fantastic little bow that would be perfect for tree stand hunting. I have it sitting at about 7.5 brace and it’s slinging arrows nicely
