I got a short box in the mail today. My herters perfection 46" 50# She has beautiful lines, tiny, light pulls smooth and light back to 28" feels much less than 50# and is realitivy easy to shoot, even off the bare shelf with the stick on rest above, and with an old string with finger protectors in it. She has a new string now, will put a rest on and shoot her in the morning. I was expecting a twitchy, stacking now that would be a interesting bow to shoot occasionally. I got a light, smooth, sexy, bow that makes me smile. I dont sell the ones that make me smile.

Finish looks DELICIOUS. (NOT something I say often). That is awesome that it draws so smoothly.

Like it. Definitely a bow for the blind. Appears short bow's extreme deflex minimizes finger pinch. Yardstick needed to measure brace height? LOL

And remember, it's not 46" AMO, it's 46" tip to tip....Bob Barrie didn't follow AMO guidelines. A string for that will be for a 44" AMO bow. Have shot a bunch of Herter's over the years and owned many as well. A Herter's Magnum T/D was my first three piece bow that I bought in 1973. It was, of course, the world's best takedown recurve bow, as was anything you bought through George Herter. :) Great bows.

Nice looking bow. Is that the shortest production hunting bow that was ever made? Or did someone make one shorter?

Yours is a beauty. I’ve had several. I especially like the hard, epoxy finish. I don’t have any now bc I like shooting longbows and old 50’s Bear long curves better.

Jim, I've never seen a factory camo Herters, got any pics? And yes, the grips seemed to vary. Mine has a very narrow throat.
