I found Fred Bear's "Field Notes" online and downloaded them to my phone. I plan on listening to them (quietly) in the tree this season. Anyone know of any other good hunting stories to check out?

By the way, Dollar General's $10 Bluetooth ear buds are perfect for listening and shooting. You can use one at a time, no cord to catch and if you lose them so what. Lol

An earphone that is a cost a small fortune George. You know, like the one that came free with transister radios.

Yep, like the transistor radio earphone, but with a bit of Star Trek magic that makes it work without wires. Plus you get 2 of them for that hi-tech stereo-phonic sound. All without the cost of buying stock in that fruit company. Lol

So then an ear bud is of little value by itself and must be accompanied by an expensive conductor, i e smart phone, etc. Gotcha.

I would try the big podcasts like The Push, Stick Bow Chronicles, or Kifarucast. Scroll through the guest list for a good story teller. Wensel bros, Denny Sturgis, Randy Cooling ect.

Stickboys is also a good podcasts. And as stated listen to all or search through the guests.

Sorry George. From your response and the couple following, I thought you were joking around. I added to the snark with my comment. No harm intended. Yes, normally you would use them with a smartphone. I got curious though and a quick Google search shows you can get a Bluetooth mp3 player for about $30 and up. So you could use them without a smartphone.

Thanks Charlie and KS, I'll check out your suggestions. I don't know why but assumed the Push was more technical shooting / tuning info.

I have to admit I don't delve into those things, my life is cluttered enough with everyday living. :) No issue at all benzy, I have tough hide anyway and didn't take anything negative from your post. I'm a curmudgeon I suppose.

I don't do podcasts, and although I peruse Youtube, it's mostly not for archery stuff unless it's Olympics or other field archery shoots, mostly in Europe since there are scant few here anymore.
