I have three close friends who let me hunt on their property. Archery season opens soon and Squirrel season is in. Every year I make courtesy calls to ask permission to hunt. If I kill a deer they'll get some steaks and chops. I Never leave trash, destroy trees, and treat their property as if I owned it. It's some hunters who ruin it for other hunters.

Have a good year and shoot straight.

Good reminder Will. Some things should be obvious, but every season more and more privileges are denied because all those things you mentioned above are abused by a few. It’s a simple thing to treat others with the respect they deserve and take steps to let landowners know how much their generosity is appreciated. Hope you all have a Safe and Blessed fall.

Stay Safe/Shoot Straight. MT

I can’t believe how some people disrespect the land and the landowners. I wasn’t brought up that way. I have always tried to act like as it were my own land

good reminders for everyone :)

the main farm i hunt, i also do airgun pest control for, so im there alot in the summer and fall, they love to hear how many pigeons/groundhogs/starlings ive got that day.

and they always tell me where they have seen the big bucks on the property, and remind me if i need help dragging a deer one of them will come up on the tractor :) great people!

and i still ask every year if im still allowed to hunt, they look at me like im crazy as they say "of course you are" LOL

I have a friend I met at a park I hunt while he was working there part time twelve years ago. He lets me cross his property to access the far south west end of the park if I decide to hunt there. Five minute walk instead of a forty five minute walk. I never see anyone there because it would be a real haul to get a deer out. When I do hunt there, I give him one of the does I kill.

I always pick up after others. Even on state land when I stop to roam around.
