Shooting stone pointed arrows. Only shot half a dozen Times. At about ten yards. Happy with the way the arrow flies.

These arrows were made a long time ago. And now they are being shot.

After the sixth shot I lost the stone point while pulling the arrow out of the target. A soft seat cushion. Made of some kind of foam. I was able to dig the head out. But now I have to re-attach it.

I have to say. Shooting this primitive rig. Is a lot of fun.

Did you make the arrows and heads?

No Frank I didn’t make them. Doug Knight made them. He use to work for Sure wood shafts when they first opened. I got them off a fellow waller.

And Steve Gardner (Badger) made my Osage selfbow. I won it when they had the auction for Jim Fetrow (Dire Wolf). Nice shooting bow.

My main concern was finding something I could shoot with out damaging the stone points. Memory foam works pretty well.

Pretty darn nice set up.

Thanks Frank. I started my archery journey on a compound bow. A round wheel Browning deluxe Nomad. I shot instinctive using a three finger glove. Thanks to some leather wallers I’m getting to experience the primitive side of archery. And I’m having a lot of fun doing it.
