It’s with deep sadness to inform everyone on this site that Jerald Glenn Natelli “Ryman Cat” passed away approximately 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I’m not aware of any of the circumstances surrounding his passing. The “Cat” will surely be missed!

He was a big part of the fabric of this site, sometimes rubbing people the wrong way. Most of the time he was very entertaining. I for one, will miss him.

Very sad to hear of Glenn's passing. My condolences to his family.

I feel ok about it though, as he had such a strong faith he has to be in good hands! He was in poor physical health but was in great spiritual shape, and that's what counts.

Very Sorry to hear that.He just bought a bow from me about a month ago.He said he was having immune problems and other health problems.I bought a gorgous J.D Berry Renassiance from him years ago.

He loved fine bows and really liked a gloss finish to get them to pop.

He was very active on Stickbow and had some very interesting opinions.I would say Glenn was opinionated and some of the stuff he would say was funny.

Take care Glenn and rest in peace!

He fought the good fight of faith/trust that Jesus paid for his sins.

When I first met Glenn he was ailing and troubled but ever trusting in his Lord. This news of his leaving us ought to remind us that we all have a time and place to go also. His heartfelt prayers for us are recorded for eternity and still before our eternal God. The woes and physical suffering he knew are over for him, and instead, he will awaken with a level of bliss incapable of being expressed in words.

We will miss his voice but his testimony that Jesus saves is still sounding out in our memory of him.

"As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness." Psalm 17:15

Satisfaction is his, what about your expectation for you in the hereafter?

As I was just telling my friend Chris yesterday.

The older I get the more I realize the one thing you don’t get is more time than your supposed to.

And you never know how much time your supposed to get.

I haven’t been on here nearly as long as a most of you. I have been here long enough to see that Mr. Cat was a special part of this form and it was a special place for him.

From my time here I think Frisky put it pretty good. I prayer for Rymancat

Nobody on this site prayed for others with more sincerity than Glenn; I always marveled at how much effort he put into his words when he was consoling others. Of course, it took me three or four years on this site just to learn to speak “Rymanese”—he was truly one of a kind in that regard!

From: DaGunz
Date: 16-Jun-21

Sure didn’t expect to see news like this when I opened this thread. Ryman Cat was one of a kind for sure. Spoke his mind but was first to lift a need in prayer. He’ll be missed for sure. On the other hand, the emotions and support poured out on this news really shows the difference in the Leatherwall and most forums. This group is a blessing. I hope Ryman gets a mansion up there with land to hunt and run dogs.

From: lowrider

I think Frisky put it best. Most times I could not figure out exactly what Ryman was saying but when it came time to pray for another fellow Waller there was no doubt that his words flowed fluently and that he knew God as his Lord and Savior. I knew from post that he made, he was battling health issues and was terribly saddened by losing his dog. May he now be made whole again with no more pain or sorrow. Condolences to his family.

From: George D. Stout

"That Pat allowed us that we can pray for one another!!!!!!!!!! The Lord lives on through many of us and that's priceless all else is frivolous in the Kingdom where it really counts Mike.

Other than that a place to sell things and find out things related to stick bows.

Place to show purtty bows and arrows and targets and animals.

Glenn was definitely one of the LW's preeminent prayer warriors. Some here that used to frequent TG may be unaware that Dave (Doc Nock) Landis, who was a main prayer warrior there lost his year's long battle with prostate cancer on 5-22-21. I went over to the Prayer/Concerns sub-forum infrequently to check on his status. These fine gentlemen will both be missed...our loss, Heaven's gain.

OMG!!!! I have bought a few bows from him in the past they were 2 Bear TD’s both a B riser and matching A riser. He was super cool and posted a lot of good info and pics. Dam. This is a loss for the wall for sure. God bless Glenn and hope you RIP brother.

Like some others, I noticed he hadn’t posted for awhile and had a bad feeling that something was amiss given his medical issues.

Although he claimed to be a stone cold game killer, his devotion to his Ryman setters revealed his sensitive side. Some of his posts puzzled me, but he was always articulate in his heartfelt prayers for others. Like all of us, he had his flaws but he lived out his beliefs as a follower of Christ.

I’ll miss him here on the Wall.

I will miss his posts and his heart felt prayers he gave so readily. Though you are home with your Lord now Glenn, I will pray for your family and loved ones. I’ll meet you someday soon.

I have been lucky to know Glenn over the years, even back then he was dealing with health issues. I enjoyed the time i spent with him at the archery club… shooting and talking about everything under the sun. He was for sure a good man and will be missed.

RIP Cat

Shoe x2! The man sure knew how to pray for others.

And as Frisky said, "I feel ok about it though, as he had such a strong faith he has to be in good hands! He was in poor physical health but was in great spiritual shape, and that's what counts."

What sad news. He lit up the Leatherwall like nobody else, even made the English language into something I couldn't keep up with, but it sure was more than worthwhile to follow his posts.

He was, as Duke Ellington said about very few individuals, "Beyond category".

I don't come to the LW so much these days, but he was always such an incredible bright spot. I will miss him, may he rest in Peace, and glory.

Glenn was a different breed of "Cat"! A dedicated archer and hunter, who didn't mind strongly stating his old school opinions! He was a bright spot on this site, always joking, but giving serious advice and sincere prayer for anyone in need. You will be missed by many, especially here on the "Wall"! Prayers up for your family & friends in their loss. Rest in Peace Glenn!

I just saw this. Wow, I dunno what to say. My condolences go out to his family. Glenn spoke his mind for sure. Thats what I liked about him. But just as he spoke his mind he prayed his heart. Tonight I'll be praying and trying to find the words to use that would be worthy of him. Well buddy you left your earthly illness behind so now you can again run your Rymans to your hearts content. Farewell Sir.

Dang...

Never met Cat, but always got a kick outa his posts. He'll be missed!

I play my bagpipes every day...tomorrow morning I'll step into the woods behind my house and "pipe him off" with a set of appropriate tunes. Think I'll run, "Bells Of Dunblane", "Row Me Home To Islay", "Suo Gan", "Amazing Grace", and end with "Going Home".

Rest in peace, mate!

Such sad news. I’ll miss Glenn’s posts here...as others have stated, it took me a little bit to learn to comprehend “cat talk.” I had never met Glenn but miss him just the same. Olddogrib, I didn’t know how many here knew Doc Nock so I never posted anything about his passing. He was a good friend of mine. He came to hunt with me several times after he made the move from PA to TN. We talked regularly via text and email. When I hadn’t heard from him in several weeks I went to TG to see if he had posted lately. I was hit then with the sad news of his passing. Really gonna miss Glenn and Dave.

Since I've been retired and away from LW for months and recently returned, I had to ask one of our LW brothers about RymanCat. He told me the sad news about his passing. I liked Glenn and pmd him quite a bit back during the last couple years. But I slipped out of the picture, and lost touch with him. Sad indeed about hearing this. May he be BLESSED BY GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. He was controversial at times, but a good outdoorsman, and a friend to many. RIP RymanCat, I miss you making me laugh hysterically and your blessinfs from the heart. You take care up there, you are out of pain now. TK

He was always near the top when a prayers request came as well. I think the medication affected his lucidity now and then because he could come across with some really eloquent posts, and two days later sounded like Norm Crosby. We will miss that feller here, he was an archery brother.

In my soon to be 82 years I have lost many family members and close friends. You never really get over it. You eventually compartmentalize their memories, but when you bring their memories forth, the hurt, though lessened with time, is revived.
