Today I was able to meet up with the father and son, Jeff and Nash to give them their bows and accessories. Jeff received my ILF Bow that I had put together last year. It is 42#, a Bosen riser with DAS limbs. Because he wasn't interested at this point to bowhunt, I set him up with aluminum arrows and target points. The quiver was donated by a Waller as were the arrows, the arm guard and the glove.
Nash received the Spirit bow, the second one donated by another Waller as well as all of the accessories. Nash was super excited and couldn't wait to get home to shoot it.
Jeff and his wife were surprised at what was being given. I told Jeff that if he decided to bowhunt, I would help him get set up for it. Nash's sister, Aniston, who is a year younger, let me know that she could shoot a bow as well. I figure that as fast as Nash is growing, she will get his bow next year. I assured him that I would probably be able to set him up with a heavier bow nest year.
Both Nash and Jeff thanked me over and over and I reminded them that several Wallers had donated a lot of it. I told them what states had sent what and they were very impressed and wanted me to let these Wallers know of their thanks.
Jeff asked if I might be able to donate a bow sometime to be auctioned off in a fund raiser, so I told him that I probably could. But that will be down the road, later this year.
The smiles were nonstop as were the questions. I showed them several Selfbows as well which led to more questions. As they were leaving, I heard Nash saying something about a target for the back yard. I always make sure that they know and understand that other Wallers had a big part in their gifts.
And again, I want to say thanks to everyone that has helped to enable me to do this. I bet I heard "Thank You" twenty times, maybe more. So, Thank You guys for being so generous and kind. Jerry
