Here are photos of a big bull that was hanging around my Pa - camp. We have it with the antlers just as they drop and then right after. Enjoy - Thanks - Bowhogan51

Nice fellas. Pennsylvania's got 'em eh! We had one lonely Bull roaming freely here in Illinois.....he was somebody's pet that got loose. :)

You have some great photos Nemophilist. I have had some big ones close enough to touch them with my bow limb. Maybe I will draw some day. And nice shooting also, you are killing the daily shots.

Nice bull Nemophillist! Congrats! Been trying for a Montana tag as I have a buddy out there, but my luck is the same as Pa. Take care Joe

We saw elk sign when we circuit hiked the Susquehannock trail a few years ago. Also, saw some impressive bear scat up on top. That was a great hike. We started near the ranger station near Denton a headed clockwise. Day two we got water early and then went 13 miles without water, that was were the Texas guy who was used to hauling maximum water was helping his brothers out. We finally hit a stream and camped. Left a bit late on day three after camelling up.

There are only 144 licenses sold. 57,000 people applied last year. I'd be surprised if anyone on here has drawn a license.

Here is more information: https://www.wtaj.com/news/regional-news/over-57000-applied-for-elk-licenses-in-pa-heres-how-many-people-got-them/

That looks like a skull cap, not sheds!

Pushed together between the bed of the side by side and trash cans. And look at the photo with the bull with the antlers off and sheds on the ground.

It’s pretty rural and mountainous with lots of state forest land, but the elk did have liking for downtown Benezette.

Outside of the town of Frenchville. About 20 miles south of Benezette. There are about 20 camps on a thousand acres of ground. A half mile from my camp is over 50,000 acres of state forest and game lands.

We had one wander clean down to Cambria county which is about 60 miles south of Benezette a few years ago. He hung around our Sportsmans club for awhile and I got some nice zoomed pictures of him. Poor beast was hit and killed by a car on route 22 near Cresson, Pa.
