Has anybody recently shipped a bits with a couple of clamps to go with it? Trying to find something which would hold one but which isn’t an $18 flat rate box from the USPS…..

The smaller box is just a bit too tight

GF? Does the P.O. have other boxes for shipping?? Failing that idea, check with WALMART for shipping boxes?? I have seen a number of sizes there in the local WALLY. Please be sure to bubble wrap SECURELY! GOOD HUNTING & BLESSED BE! Batman

That price is for an 8"x8"x8" box weighing 2.5lbs. from Texas to Ohio. You aren't likely to do better than those rates.

I’m not sure that the base of the bits will fit in an 8 x 8. It’s a no-go in the smallest of the USPS flat rate boxes. Apparently weighs 4 1/2 pounds….

Working a deal with a retired gent; don’t want to run him all over town and I think Pirate is probably outside of his comfort zone. Maybe just eat the additional 5 bucks for the next larger box, but it feels like a very high cost of convenience….

So you can do the Pirate Ship thing and email him the label. He prints it and tapes it on the box and drops it off at the post office. About as simple as it gets.

GF? My CONFUSE? Who is shipping the BITZ? You or the other guy?

Other guy, but trying to offer him a cheaper option than $18-something for a medium, flat-rate box…. Since I’m paying the postage….

Folks box your items as small as possible & ask for the cheapest shipping. You will be amazed & the different pricing you can get. They will happily take all you will give them without suggesting something cheaper.

Pirate is mailed at the same P.O. & travels on the same vehicles. Just a different rate.

My Bitz & 2 clamps weighs 2 pounds & 7 ounces. If that is what you are talking about. >>>----> Ken

I just shipped a Jo Jan multi fletcher from Ontario to Indiana. 51$ Unreal

$51???? You got HOSED, eh??!!

Thanks, Ken - I got mine out and thought “there’s no way…” Call it #3 and a box 8”X8” X3” high should do it….

Shipping across the border is a whole different thing. You deal with two different carriers & customs. It is very seldom worth it. Not to mention the Canadian $ was only worth 2/3 of the American $ last time I checked. I feel for all you Canadians. It is headed that way fast here too. >>>----> kEN

I pity you unfortunate souls who do not have a spouse who gets autographed Christmas "thank-you" cards from Jeff Bezos. I have shipping boxes of every shape and size from the daily Prime tractor trailer deliveries. I have multiples that are perfect for shipping everything. I would be more than happy to share my stash, but the spouse goes with them...that's just the way it is! Rules are rules!
