I aquired these 2 longbows today... The Johnson is string follow , the jet is backset... All and any info welcome... I'm assuming the Johnson is cedar , but I don't know what the leopard lambs are?

Any and all info welcome.. They both shoot great.. With a slight edge to the Johnson..

I love my Dave Johnson. Very good find! The image is not quite clear - it looks like Dave Johnson has 4 lams? 3 cedar and a very thin maple maybe? If yes, it might be an earlier bow since the site he had was talking about 3 lams construction. Mine has 4 lams of cedar.

Oops, my mistake. Johnson has just cedar in it and looks like 4 of them.

Johnson is on top.. That thin line is just a riser wedge/power lamb.

It's 3 lambs cedar black glass back , white/cream glass belly... Also white glass limb tip wedges..

It's fantastically made..

I think the jet (bottom bow) is 4 lambs yew or Osage I can't tell?.. It's light in weight so I think its yew?

Johnson is straight grip,.all cedar I believe and string follow.. Such a forgiving combo...

I fell into a bed of roses today..

Jet is slightly dished..

Ok, I was sure the top was Dave Johnson but after that I’ve seen the bottom looking like a stringfollow bow. On cell image is crappy. My bad. But great find!

Yeah Draven.. It's just the angle.. The jet has almost 3/4"-7\8" of backseat.. I held it up against my NM Whisper and it's exactly the same..

Nice, I especially like the Johnson. There is a Leopard on ebay now, says it is Osage lams. There is also a Jet Facebook page.

That looks like yew to me on the Jet. yew turns dalk with age like that, I have a Miller longbow with yew lams that looks identical.

I have a Jet Bison longbow with yew lambs it shoots good.

The Johnson bows can be great shooting bows. The cedar lams make for a very lightweight limb. I had one that shot amazing, but was crooked as a dogs leg. I bet you'll like the way it shoots!

The Leopard always had yew lams. I have one myself right now.

Dave Johnson always used cedar, it's not yew.
