Been working on trying a selfbow from mulberry. Turned out to be 66" and 34@28. Wanted a higher draw weight but when i was hogging wood off the belly my draw knife dug in and got a area too thin. Made bad hindge so kept on scrapping wood till both limbs were working about the same. Lesson learned. Will use a scraper sooner next bow.

Seemed fitting to make a self knocked arrow to go with it.

Backed it with blacksnake. Got skin of road killed snake. Wife would not let me in the car with it so i had to walk home dragging the 5ft dead snake 3/4 mile home. Got some looks but folks that know me around here would not bat a eye lash.

Pretty good. You should finesse your string nocks a bit with a chainsaw file. Make them match the string where it wants to lie.

I will do that before i put on another coat of finish.
