So - I took a self bow I was making that broke, cut it down, thinned the width and thickness of limbs down proportionally and ended up with a small light weight bow that might make a nice little kids bow? The bow is about 44" NTN and I'm guessing will be no more than a 15-20# draw. It has small, fine tips that will not be able to accept a very thick string. Any recommendation on who could build me a correct sized string for this little mini bow? Thanks

stilldub on eBay or ask to trade something for someone to make one. I reached out about the same for a mini bow I made for my grandson and several generous members offered to make one. Very cool guys here.

Thanks, I'll check in with Stilldub and see if I can buy one from him. His eBay page says he has made them down to 36", so if I get him the specs, I should be good.

I need to get a couple bows measured and get my order in as well. 2 new osage bows for the grandsons' Christmas made up and ready for finishing touches and strings. Haven't taken the time to try twisting my own and at 10 bucks a pop for Dacron and 15 for FF, I don't think I'll bother any time soon ;)

On a kids bow a simple single loop string with a timber hitch covers a lot of ground. Easy to reset to adjust brace. bvd
