Do you consider a 1969 56" Bear Grizzly a "rare" bow? When did the Grizzly change from 56" to 58"?

That should be the Grizzly changed back to 58" in 1971 because from 1964 to 1967 1/2 Grizzlies were 58". Then 1968, 1969, and 1970 they went to 56"amo. Before 1964 they were 62"amo.

X2 on what Nemo says. I have a 56” Grizzly and actually prefer it over my 58” versions. I don’t know how “rare” they are considering the number of bows that were produced by Bear on a yearly basis. But if you like it, I’d hold on to it. Lance

Im not sure how many 1000’s of 56” Grizzlies were made but, they aren’t “rare” at all. People like to put “rare” in their sale’s ads, thinking it will sell better.

I have a 1970 Grizzly and its 56-inch length is really handy. It’d been on the wall for quite awhile but I got it down and fell in love with it all over again. It’s about 48 pounds and fairly quick.

I think I've seen some 1966 Grizzlys that were 56". I originally heard they did it for 3 years, 67-69 but since then I found it was longer than that. Pretty sure 67-70 but not sure on 1966.

The only 56” Grizzlies that I have seen were1968-1969 and 1970. 1970 has the I believe it’s a maple strip in the riser. I have had 2 69s and a 70, nice bows. Kurt

1966 and 1967 Grizzlies were 58"amo. Only the 1968 to 1970 Grizzlies were 56"amo.

Not necessarily rare, but certainly special. 45#, 50# my brown glass 1969 sweetheart that began the love affair with these, 55# and a 62#.
I purchased the '69 55# here many years ago and like my Schafer it is one I will never part with.
