Fairly new to building wood arrows. Recently got a few Ace standard broadheads for my 23/64 cedars and in my opinion, they don't seem to fit right. It looks like the taper is not going into the ferrule far enough. Ace says these heads will fit 11/32 and 23/64 shafts. I have a few Grizzly's that go further onto the taper than these Ace heads. Does the fitment of the ace heads look normal or acceptable? If not, how can i correct this? thanks

How long is the taper on the shaft?

Clip the end off the taper

Taper too long

Agree with Andy Man. Looks like you could lose at least a 1/4" if not a fuzz more.

Yep...if it's that long I agree with clipping it off.

Thank you everyone. I will remove some of the taper and re-try the fit.

Before you clip the end off I would re-taper the shaft. you have quite a bit of finish on it. That will also effect the fit.

Fitment first. Shorten second.

What Bob said. I always re did my nock and point tapers before adding nocks or points. If the little bit of bare wood shaft is offensive just run some finish or like I did a stripe of cresting.
