Very nice James. I watched Willie in a similar video and enjoy listening to him share his knowledge of the "Old Ways." Thanks.

And, of course, I am sure that many of us made wood arrows the same way as kids. My Cousins and I made many a bow and batch of arrows much like this using goose feathers for fletching.

Informative vid. Thanks.

Lately I've gotten into making and hafting trade points that I make from old Skilsaw blades.

Hi BOB ^^^^^ Did you ever show a photo of working with the trade points? MERCY BOW-COUP.

Thanks for asking James. It beats me how to load photos here or anywhere else for that matter. Wish I could they are very nice points. They fly great. Maybe I can get my wife to figure it out.

I'd like to see someone load an MZ while actually riding a horse.

A bow is a fearsome weapon in the hands of an archer like Lajos Kassai. THAT dude can shoot a stickbow, on horseback and off. He's a master. I have no heros but that guy comes damn close.

I’d have to agree with you on that Bob.

Love my smoke poles, but loading one on horseback, that would be funny to watch.

According to historical accounts they didn't load them like you normally do.

Apparently the Metis hunters just rolled the ball down the muzzle and held the gun vertical until they quickly took the shot before the ball rolled back out.

What is certain is that they did use muzzleloaders to very good effect from horseback as ludicrous as that may seem.

lol The horse 'drive by' was born.
