This only works with certain people like me. I found that if I take out my hearing aids, everything about my bow sounds so much better. But when I have them in and on, I hear everything like the arrow squeaking as I draw. Of course I also found out how noisy I really am when I wear them. I also hear my chair squeak when I move a little bit in the blind. But it is nice to hear something walking in instead of them just magically appearing in front of you.

I leave my teeth at home. That way I'm not seen as a predator.

Quiet your bow?
Put it down and don't shoot it, just post about it online.

Paul when I hunt without teeth I say I’m the toothless predator, so I guess I’m harmless also.

Been in my blind everyday of season so far, the deer have been moving at night right now, at least the bucks have. I stay until smooth dark and then leave. yesterday I had forgotten my hearing aids and so when I practiced drawing my bow in the blind it was very quiet. That was when I realized that I had forgotten to put in my aids. My hearing loss from the military is one that my aids actually make very many people talking sound like they are in a barrel. The docs claim that it was due to my particular frequency loss. So I only wear them when I am outside or just the wife and me at home. Being an older disabled Vet makes me also forgetful at times, it is what it is. Hunting and shooting my bows is a very calming thing for me and I love it. Hunting these days is quite the challenge but I keep on keeping on. Everyone keeps telling me get one of those electric wheelchairs but I guess I am still too stubborn. And I have forgotten to put my teeth in as well. it is what it is.

My hearing used to be keen..I could hear the worms copulating in the grass on soft summer nights. Now I have a cochlear Implant plus a hearing aid so all my bows are louder than they used to be, I can hear my joints creaking also..I have taken to lubricating them with cod oil!! My joints that is..not the bows. Codjigger

My wife insisted that I see an audiologist. Testing indicated that I have a slight hearing loss in a certain frequency range that coincidentally is the same range as a woman's voice. I mean, how perfect is that?! After 45 years of marriage, I've developed instinctive hearing...go figure.

My hearing degraded over the years because of farm machinery, industrial noise, shop tools, and I shot registered trap for many years. I wore hearing protection whenever it was available but the high frequency tones have gone away. One thing I have never been able to do was understand a whisper and that is part of a CDL test.
I bought a set of aids from a company in England that had ads in the NRA magazine when I retired and they work great. I told my daughters that when I went out my door with them the first time I heard a deer fart on the RR tracks a quarter mile south of the house.
