Yesterday I sharpened up my 2 blade Ace standards on my work sharp elite knife sharpener and I must say they came out amazing. If anyone has this sharpener I would highly recommend it for your 2 blade heads. Was super fast and was able to run through all the grits very fast and got a very keen edge. I also did 2 old magnus 2’s that also came out awesome. Just a fyi if anyone has one. Are season opens next Saturday so just getting em ready :) also i did it while they were mounted on arrows so no restrictions with it.

Nothing beats the feel of drawing a knife blade or broad head across a 1 x2 x10” medium Arkansas bench hone. The knowing that your skill of sharpening will bring an animal home to feed your family makes learning to hand sharpen your tools worthwhile.

I have no problem sharpening knives, hatchets or b-heads with stones but for a quick and easy edge the Rad and a few strokes on ceramic sticks are the quickest way to keep a 2 blade sharp.

I to can and do sharpen free hand mainly but since I have this I thought I’d try it is all and share that it works good if anyone has trouble doing it free hand is all.

I think it is great that you shared that. The aerospace engineer up the road has the flu, but he should be up and running in the next few days to finally finish the jig for my sharpening machine. Of course it will be later than I wanted, which would have been about a month ago in time for the season for many of those who just struggle with sharpening. There is a Waller who will be sending me a knife so that I can demonstrate what the machine can do. Hopefully next season this may help some folks out.

Looks a lot like the Lansky "concept" of sharpening. Is it? How is it different? How might it be better? Cost difference?
