I can't find the 2022 kill thread. The search stuff here is beyond me.
Anyway got this Buck the other day. About a 6-7 yd shot from a tree stand. Hit a bit back but angling into the chest cavity. Unfortunately the coyotes beat me to him. He went about 200 yds.
As always, Bear "B" Riser TD 40# at my draw.
Picture of him before the season and one without the mess the yotes left.

He actually ran into a brushy Ravine. We must have walked past him a few times. It was later in the day when I came back that the birds pin pointed his location.

Have two more either species antlerless. A Buck or doe Whitetail tag. Also another whitetail Buck and two more doe tags if I want to drive north another 3 hrs. Up to 9 deer tags.
I off Moose hunting now for a week or so.

Hate the coyotes! Great buck for sure. The coyotes don't mess around, they get with it fast. At least you got the antlers, I saw a coyote running down a dirt road one morning with a buck's head. That guy didn't even get the antlers.
