Well fall is here in Western Pa. Got down in the low 40's last

night. Preparing for winter with the house, cars etc. and of

course the start of Archery season. Why am I so busy this

time of the year ? In the past I got up around 4 am and be in

a tree before sunrise and think of the things that needed done

at home. Now I only hunt evenings and have time to get the

other things done in the mornings. Now I can relax and really

enjoy my time in the woods. Does this come with age or does

anyone else hunt this way ?

Yep, it was cool here last night in western Pa. We had frost here and there.

Busy trying to get caught up... never happens, right? Canned tomatoes yesterday, dehydrating the last of the hot peppers right now, just a few more apples left on the trees. Gonna dehydrate them for treats, the dogs and us. Walnuts are dropping. Pointed out the lengthening shadows to the wife this afternoon. It's breezy and the cool air sure feels good fkr a change. Favorite time of year. Vacation starts in two weeks. Life is good. This is our time. Enjoy.

I hunt mornings and when the weather cools off evenings also. If I had to pick one or the other, I would choose mornings.

Fall, good sleeping weather, then enjoy the crisp air, better than humidity

I think it's natural to hunt harder when you are young versus us old phartes. I have all the time I need but still don't really apply myself like I used to. I just enjoy the time of year, the colors, and not sweating every time you wore long pants and long sleeve shirt outside.

Fall here means the highs are in the 80s instead of 100 degrees...I'd love to live somewhere that actually has 4 sessons.
