Greetings...Could you tab using folks find time to let me know what thickness your tab is ????A thick tab is more comfortable for me to shoot but I can get off the string easier with a thin tab. Just asking !!!! Be safe....Des

Thin for me. I don't know the thickness but I like the 3 rivers Bison tab.

I pad my tabs more that most to ease the pain on arthritic fingers. It is easy enough to remove pieces from tabs, shave down leather or add padding to your liking. That is what I did then found it easier to just build my own. My latest has seal hair facing with gator trim. Fairly thin leather back with a piece of a mouse pad for the center padding. You can also make them as pretty or fancy as you like. All it takes is leather, contact cement or leather glue & a pair of scissors. Create whatever you need. A tab is such a personal item or I would build them for folks. Just too many sizes, thickness, & combinations. >>>----> Ken

I bought a yost tab, their cheapest model. After some playing around, i used the thinnest leather i could find at hobby lobby. Real smooth, and perfect for me.

I’m with you. I have been using the Black Widow tabs, but remove the center layer. They work great like that. I believe I stole the idea from South Cox.

I recently started to use a thicker tab and 3 under. I found it awkward at first but after a breakin period and much practice, it has really helped the pain I was getting in my slightly arthitic fingers. The thicker tab has actually helped me stay shooting Traditional.

Barbee and Neet hair face. I don't like thick tabs.

I have a calf hair Neet Tab that measures about .100 thick. With my dial caliper I can get from .090-.105. It is only the calf hair leather. It had another layer of leather that I removed which looks like it was about .060 thick.

Recently purchased a Saunders Fab Tab, I like it. Thin layer of synthetic material with leather backing and a very thin insert of plastic. Tab is thin and flexible. Also like the Kant Pinch tabs.

The Saunders tap has layers.

I have damaged nerves in my finger tips.

So I added three layers.

Works for me.

I've been using the Saunders Pak-Tab for years. Layer it up to the thickness you like.

Des -

The Olympic guys have a rule of thumb: 1mm for every 10# of draw weight. That holds pretty well, except for the very high draw weights, when going over 5 - 6mm doesn't buy you much.

Viper out.

Don't know thickness but it is thin, used the same thickness bateman tab 40-57#.

The cavalier isn't though, not as thin as the Bateman. I like the way the cavalier won't curl up like a Bateman.
