Okay, this is for the small pocket knives. I have several but this one is so easy to carry yet able to do some pretty good cutting. No name on it other than made in USA. It's very solid and takes a good edge. It would work fine for use on small game, but not a deer knife by any stretch. Let's see the tiny knives that are still usable.

Nice knife George! American made! Good to see you joining in on the knife threads. Mine is what they call a swell handle Jack. Also just says U.SA. On it. These knives were only a Buck or two back in the day. If I see one at a yard sale I grab it quick! This one is 3 1/2” closed.

Good call George. I have a couple of Case Eisenhower’s that often pull duty as my Sunday knife. Those little blades may be thin, but they also be sharp..,

Good timing George!! I just found this one tucked away in a bin I have in my mudroom. Had to clean it up and it has a great edge. I started carrying it in my pocket.

Hard to read but it's a Schrade Old Timer made in the USA

Old Timer 3.25" with an awl. Great for an in-the-pants pocket knife for everyday. But a bit small and I like the four-inchers better for hunting and working outdoors.

Here's a few tiny ones. They're from 2.5 to 2.75". Clockwise from top left, 50's Queen, an old Buck someone replaced the handle scales on it, and the bottom two are Kutmaster peanuts.

Tiny knives seem to get so sharp so easily.

The finest small pocket knife of them all- The Case Peanut! Here's my old review of small pocket knives:

You know George those little ones are handy. I have one I carry everydY. In fact last fall I had to use it to clean a buck I killed. Very handy

Case congress. How did they come up with that name?

From: Jeff Durnell
Date: 23-Sep-22

The congress knife pattern is convex shaped in an arc, like the house of congress, with blades on opposing ends 'coming together in the middle'... kind of like how our congress USED to do. The standard congress knife has four blades, the half congress has two. It's an old pattern. Abraham Lincoln was carrying a 6 blade Congress knife when he was assassinated, so it's been deemed the Lincoln Congress knife. They're usually not 'tiny knives' though... generally being 3 1/2 to 4 inches in length.

Wow, thanks Jeff and correct, it is 3.5". I'll add a pic of my Old Timer. Well used and probably my favorite knife.

My 503 is my smallest one I have. We’ll have two of them as I got my dads when he passed.

Keepemsharp, I’m amazed anyone even knows what a pica pole is in today’s world! I’ve got three of them handy at the computer, my copy desk, and the layout table.

(Editor’s note: A pica is a unit of measurement in the printing/newspaper industry in which there are Six picas in an inch, and 12 points in a pica. We’ll discuss slugs and thin spaces just after we melt a pig, which is 23 pounds of Linotype used in printing in the old days and shaped like a torpedo to feed the molten lead in melting pots for lines of type to be set and cast, all of which were in the pre- computer days before digital printing, pagination, and the off-set press; and compound bows and carbon arrows and such.)

And also part of my life history in the newspaper and printing industry. I’m tired now and need a nap, or knap.

If Ron LaClare was here he'd have a 15" pig sticker and call it a "small knife". Happy trails Ron! Here's mine gifted a few months ago. Not American made, but they went out of the way to point out "American Enegenered". I don't like little knives as much as Ron,but this sucker kept finding his way back to my pocket. Very hard steel.

Ah, found my little folder. All I can make out of the markings is "U" on the upper line, maybe the start of "USA". And "JU" on the second line.

I use it to field dress grasshoppers.

I must have missed this fun thread being in the hospital but here are mine. From the top, Buck 309, Camillus 72 Whittler, Colt 150 year anniversary, Old Timer, Buck 303. The Buck 303 has been my EDC for 20 years now and if I loose that the Camillus will take over.
