Hi, could anyone with a Pearson 956 TD longbow tell me how much each half of this 66" (956) bow measures from tip to base? Thanks a bunch!!

I had one some years ago, and the 956 indicates 5' 6" (66") from end to end. This was well before AMO came on the scene so I suspect they could have varied a little bit at that time.

Used to have one but I never measured the halves separately,,looks like the bottom is 1/2" to 1" shorter though.

I am looking for information on this very particular model to copy it and see if I can turn a modern day twin.

If anyone else knows how long each half is, I would appreciate it very much ;)

I just missed out on one at the big auction site

If you are going to build one you don't need the exact measurement of the pieces. They can just be whatever they are depending on how/where you place your handle and shelf and the type of connection assembly that you use.

I want to make it as exact as possible. Almost a replica of the original that's why I need the exact measurements.

Ask for a tracing on freezer paper of a put together unstrung bow and have it sent to you

A tracing of the bow put together won't give him the length of the I individual halves.

That would provide the side view profile.

Got one at home.

I'll get back later and measure it.
