Is there an after market limb made for this bow or another limb that will fit the riser?

It is a bear Hunter Take down the limbs that came with it are 65lbs too heavy for me

That was a good affordable TD bow option. Kinda surprised they didn’t keep making them. I had one years ago and my buddy cut his teeth with it and was a great shot with it till he was shooting in basement and hit the top limb on the rafters when he shot and broke the tip off. Lol.

Samick Sage limbs will bolt right on.

Shag X2.

I have two Bear Hunter TDs.

Samick Sage limbs will bolt right on the Bear Hunter TD riser. The brackets (picture attached) on the riser of the Bear Hunter TD have edges that stick up about 1/8" so it will keep the Samick Sage limbs from moving from side to side. But Samick Sage limbs on a Bear Hunter TD riser will make the bow 62"amo if I remember correctly.

GOOD LUCK on toning the bow down! BE SAFE & WELL!

Nemophilist, you are correct. It makes for a 62” bow. When I put a set of Sage limbs on mine (just to see if it would work), I used the same string I had on the Sage and it worked out about right. I’m one of the few lucky ones who has a Bear Hunter T/D with a set of fairly light limbs at 50 pounds.

I need some lighter limbs for mine. 70@28 is just too much for me now. ><> del

Shag I have two Bear Hunter TDs both are 60#@28". One I had the whole bow camo dipped and the other one just the limbs camo dipped. I shoot 60# to 65# bows so I'm still good.

Nemo, which do you like better, the Hunter TD or the B handled takedowns?

Kelly if I had to pick one, I like my 1984 factory camo green stripe B-Handled Kodiak Takedown (pictured) best. I like the green stripe Kodiak Takedowns even more than the new Kodiak Takedowns. But the Bear Hunter TDs are good shooting bows. And they were a lot more affordable than the Kodiak Takedowns were. They were made at the Bear Archery plant in Florida from 1988 to 2001.

Thanks, found a lightweight one but guess I’ll stay with my Kodiak Mag takedowns.
