My wife and I have 2 granddaughters in Tennessee who like to shoot bows when they come up to Minnesota, but I didn't have any grandchildren here who like to shoot bows... until today!
Our daughter and her 5 children, due to circumstances beyond her control, are living with us for at least the next month. Our granddaughter, Charley, who is days away from her 8th birthday, and the oldest of the 5, knew I had a kids bow in the basement, and she asked me to take her out and teach her how to shoot it. She likes to watch me shoot, but never showed any interest in shooting until this afternoon. Well, being the good "Pop" that I am, I jumped on the opportunity!
It turns out that the kids bow I had in the basement is just a little too much for Charley, so I ordered a Firefly bow from Kustom King while she was out playing with her siblings. Happy 8th birthday, Charley!
(I'd be surprised if the pic is right side up. If it's not, I'd appreciate someone turning it for me. I haven't figured that one out yet.)

That's awesome, it's so good to see kids outdoors regardless of what they're doing but archery is up there.

Really nice. Planting the seed. The girls and women in my life shoot longbows and recurves much more than the sons and grandsons. None of the ladies hunt, and the boys, it is all about the hunt.

So good to see that smile. We are having a family reunion in a few weeks- shooting the bows has been a top request from the cousins, nieces, and nephews who are coming. :)
