Just wondering what you folk do with your kids and grand kids. Most of my kids and grand kids can shoot bows .Now it's mostly my grand kids.My grandson used to constantly loose or break arrows .Started to get out of hand so I got him to make an arrow my way Plane and foot an arrow with hand tools. It took him a long time but he did make a good arrow .Now he looks after his arrows and appreciates the work I put into making them .He still occasionally helps me .But very few kids can do that.Growing up to be a good kid now.tell us your stories.Love to hear them Cheers Osr

My 8 year old grandson and I shoot bows together often during the summer when he is out of school. He shoots a Maddog Pup longbow 26@26 I bought him and he shoots fairly well. We get a competition going where we shoot at a 20 oz. drink bottle and a solid hit is one point. We also fish and hunt together especially now we are bass fishing. I just taught him to cast a bait casting reel. The good ole days are now!

I have been shooting with my grandkids for quite a while now. My youngest is Ten and has been shooting since he was Two. IT is very enjoyable.

Here is a great picture of a lad that loves to shoot. I lifted it from the Alabama Society of Traditional Bowman.
