The best pair of boots I've ever owned. Put plenty of miles on them, never leaked and had great ankle support. Wore them for one last hunt today even tough half the heel on the right boot was almost gone. Guess everything has a shelf life but they're going to hard to replace.

Got them at Tractot supply and they're Carhart boots. Never seen another pair like them.

Can you get them resoled? I got a pair of Meindel Ibex boots resoled twice and they are going strong after twenty-two years.

Somebody on here will know who made them for Carhartt so all hope is not lost, but I feel your pain. Every time I find the "perfect boot" I find they've been discontinued when they wear out....or they're now be produced overseas and the identical replacements do not fit the same! RIP

I just looked at Carhart's website and I see a couple pair that are similar but not an exact match. It might be worth a shot to try a similar pair from them since you had such good luck with the first. Other than that, I'd say Nemo's suggestion is a great idea.

You could also go to Tractor Supply's website and type in "Carhart Boots" into the search bar. They carry a whole bunch of them and a few look fairly similar to your old pair.

any half decent shoe repair shop will be able to repair them. If I remenber correctly Carhartt's are strobel construction so it should be quite easy

Taking them to the shoe hospital tomorrow, hope they'll be able to fix them. Guess I should knock some mud off them, been a wet spring.

I also say “get them fixed”. I chucked a pair of boots once thinking I could replace them. I could but what I had was made in USA, the new ones were made in Asia. Quality wasn’t the same and they fell apart real quick.

Contact them. They might warranty them. You would be surprised. JF

I used to laugh at a guy I worked with because when he found something he really liked, boots, hunting clothes, broadheads, bows, whatever, he'd go right back out and buy enough to last him all his days. I don't laugh at him much nowadays. He's retired and sitting pretty with a lifetime supply of his favorite good quality US made hunting gear.

I guess they are not repairable or are they, good luck with your quest, happy feet can go a long way.

I have a hard time finding boots I like. When I do I buy 2 pair of them. I was just talking about this with a friend. Why do they quit making a good selling boot that people like? Do Americans have to keep changing that much? Remember when Rockies were good?

My late wife and I loved to hike in the mountains, before a trip years ago my hiking boots gave up the ghost. I went to Walmart and bought a pair of el-cheapos for $29.95 just to have something to wear until I could get to one of the better hiking stores in Gatlinburg.

I wore them around the house for a few days to break them in before my trip and thought "dang, these boots are really comfortable and fit my high arch foot like a glove".

When we got to the mountains I decided to try my el-cheapos on the trails and started with Mt Leconte, the boots were like a dream of perfection.

I wore theme for years in the mountains, when they were too worn for the mountains they became my go to boot to wear while working around the house for several more years. Finally the stitching in the front gave way completely and I reluctantly had to throw them in the trash.

No telling how many time I went back to Walmart looking for the same model hiking boot only to find their models were changed out frequently and my favorite boot model were never on the shelf again. I probably tried on a dozen of the newer models over the years but they fit me poorly.

The picture is over 35 years old and on the Alum Bluff trail to Mt Leconte.

Went to the shoe doctor and the doctor said they could be repaired. Won't be able to show you the results because he's two months behind. Funny thing is they had boots on sale for $50.00 and I'm going to have more money in getting my old pair resolved. : )
