I had to order a pack to test out on some pigs. Man if I can get the penetration I should have an awesome blood trail!

Anyone here tried them?

Here it is next to the Magnus Stinger I usually shoot…

Go shoot some hogs with them and let us know how they work out. To me, the Stinger's ferrule and blade design would appear to be more durable.

I’ve killed many critters with the Stingers just don’t get great blood trails some times.

The wind is going to be perfect for a hunt this evening but rain chances are 60-70% so I’m hoping it just a light rain….

Looks like a BIG cut. I only know one guy who has shot the Palmer heads, but his was not the one you have pictured. He shot through a small hog with a 60# Black Widow, so I don't think it was much of a test. The take away there was that there was no damage to the head after it went through and struck a there. Hope your weather has been more mild than ours. We tried the pigs yesterday, but it was still 90* at sunset, and nothing was moving. IF you stick something with that head, PLEASE update the post about it.

Ive looked at these a lot!...really wanted to try them but i figured i better stick with the 2 blade with my setup.

Cannot wait to hear the feedback on them!!

I use the standard phantoms but I would like to try these bigger heads

Briar...remove the aux blade from these and you have a great 2 blade. I bought some of these from Mike in 2016. I used one as a practice head here in the yard. Well over a 100 shots- some into dense 4" foam, some into the dirt, some into rocks and tree trunks. The head finally broke the tip of the ferrule enough to loosen the blade, but I still shot it a bunch more until sailed off into the forest never to be seen again.

Looks like a better choice for blood trails for sure.

All broadheads will work just hit them in The pump station with short blood trails.

I've used them on deer and hogs with no problems and great blood trails as long as I missed the shoulder bone. My thinking was to use a big head and come off the shoulder a little bit and if i do hit too far back a big broadhead will help get blood on the ground. so far that theory has worked well.

Wide broadheads dont always put lots of blood On the ground.

Great job as usual brother

Trailsend, we get that, but all things being equal, they sure put more on the ground than a skinny one.

And just killing a hog isn’t enough, you gotta recover it before the meat spoils.

Looks like the heads worked great for you! Any wear and tear that would prevent reusing them?

Dry Bones, had another one came back I would have definitely tried to kill it lol

I am sure that if a hog wasn’t so short legged that the arrow would have went completely through. It had to hit the ground stopping it from going all the way. But the business end did…. Here’s a pic of the exit.

Thanks guys!

I've got an unused pack. I'm trying to stick with 125s for everything. Probably try to trade or sell them.

I might have missed it, but what's the specs on your bow? I would like that for comparison in a head that wide. I don't want this to get into one of those, can't be done, or has to be at least. This is just so I can know what the poundage and draw was and the fact that you got a complete pass through with the point. Thanks,

-Bones

On the video basin boy said he has a new bow that is #43 @26. Awesome video. Always appreciate your work !!

From: Basinboy

Thanks Briar! That is correct it’s almost 43# at 26” on my scale. It’s 62” Long
