Wood bees have been doing damage to our deer camp. While my buddy tried his hand with a blow gun I developed a Bee Hunting point.

Joe, Sounds like an excellent entrepreneurial opportunity. Could call your Bee point something like “THE BUZZ KILL”.

Carpe Diem, sir. Stay Safe/Shoot Straight. MT

Nice shooting and I like your bee point!

We always went the fat wiffle ball bat route.

new improved point. Works well with 25 pound draw.

Started out with a tennis racket but when they get up in the rafters of my barn I needed more range. Daisy BB gun works well and is fun. Wide bee point appears to be more effective and more traditional.

I might have to try that method. I must have swatted 30 of them yesterday down at my shed. I just use a tennis racket………. Nimrod

I sprayed the target area with permethrin and that fixes them. That said, I think you've hit on a significant amount of EFOC, and your way looks way more fun.

I use a Judo to hold it all together to reduce damage to background non targets. Thinking maybe a Flu Flu but with 25 pound draw might create too much drag.

They can do some damage, set up a couple traps . They work good.

You should go on Shark Tank. I’m betting Mr Wonderful would buy in!

Wiffleball bat works great for the kids too!

Carpenter Bees are every where hard to get rid of, shoot ‘em dead

Old tennis racket works great.

Do you use 200 grain points on the tennis racquet, or can you get by with 125s?

From: JHP

Tennis racket is good on low sheds but my barn has 15 foot rafters and the bees hang there allot. Poison and traps will work well but shooting them with a bb gun and bow and arrow is way more fun. Give it a try.But then again I am one of those who enjoys hunting in any form.

You just have to get trad close with the racket. Lol. They get more wary if you miss though.

I give the wood a good soaking of 20 Mule Team borax. Insects generally do not like boron.(For example, boric acid roach killers) I mix 2-3 tablespoons in a gallon of water and wet down the wood where they are operating. If I see a hole, I shoot a stream into it. I have hade pretty good luck with this.

22 with birdshot is a blast.

Back when I was a decent shot I would kill them with a judo point….. then days are long gone lol

Will a 10lb bow take out a wood bee?

I use 4’ of dental floss and just lasso them out of the air :)

Actually I scoop them out of the air with a pool cleaning scoop net then dispatch with my boot.
