Just wondering if any one uses them. And how they work.At first i kinda scoffed at the idea, but found kinda by accident one that seems to work for me.Its the back of the feather touching my nose telling me its time to release. When that happens it also tells me that 1-i am not overdrawing or straight arming the bow. 2-i also now have an additiona anchor point ,other then finger in corner of my mouth and finaly 3- it actually causes me to get my eyes right over the top of the arrow, almost like shooting skeet.I like it,and am now trying to ingrain it into my shooting.Any body else use or try this? And what are some other triggers?

There's a whoooollllleeeee bunch of discussion on here about that subject. About what a psycho trigger actually is and isn't, how effective they are, and on and on.

"Triggers" would be things lick a clicker either on the arrow or on the bow limb, a grip sear, a clicker tab, a finger touching a particular spot on your face, rotating your elbow to a particular spot/feeling, and other thing too numerous to mention.

If it works for you go with it. But the proof is always in the long term effectiveness.

The likelihood that you are actually overdrawing the bow is very small, but the other things you mentioned are or can be beneficial.

Terry, I've used feather to nose as a trigger with good success. At this point my arrows are set up where feather contacts nose at my anchor (not as a trigger, but just a reference point). I've used limb mounted clickers, grip clickers ( manufactured and homemade), and grip sears. They've all worked for me---until they didn't. Something about my mental make-up just doesn't get along with them long-term (we're all wired differently). I always seem to have mechanical issues as well-- grip clicker migrates a bit on grip or just quits working etc. I find i do much better without an external trigger, but once in a while I'll add one to slow my shot down. If it's working for you I'd sure keep at it.

AS far as I'm concerned when your concentrating of something other than making the shot your likey not making the best use of making the shot.

Bob,

Then you do not understand his system. You have two things you must do, see to keep it (Eyes on target and nothing else), then put your mind where the importance is. Your mind, using the mantra, is on "Keep Pulling". This keeps your mind on what is important, and helps keep out all other thoughts. You should not think about the trigger, it is a reaction.

I use a kisser button to my eyebrow, extra anchor point, silent clicker and works for me.

As I mentioned in a previous thread, the feather on the nose has resulted in a remarkable improvement in my shooting and accuracy. It takes nothing away from my concentration on the target. In some ways its no more discerning than someone making sure they have their finger in the corner of their mouth before releasing.

It's just another anchor method and the good folks here that don't understand usually haven't had the experience of an enduring problem.

Or they do not want to believe they have a problem. I can get to my anchor in the corner of my mouth but still don't draw consistently without the clicker
